like technically speaking, socialist states != communist states
the issue is that quite often they'll also try to defend socialism, and then try to DQ failed socialist states solely on the basis of failure
as in, if it fails it wasnt real socialism

Socialism and communism are utopian systems
Failure to achieve the utopia means it wasnt a true version by most standards
