Then you spent billions shutting that shit down only to return to coal

2018-09-17 22:05:00 UTC

No, its disadvantages are so severe that it shouldn't be anoption

2018-09-17 22:05:15 UTC

The radioactivity is a Problem that isn't solved.

2018-09-17 22:05:56 UTC

so basically the Taxpayer pays for the disposal of the radioactive waste.

2018-09-17 22:06:02 UTC

Sorry, but the only two places it's been an issue were a result of lazy engineering and no safety features

2018-09-17 22:06:20 UTC

And I heard storys from my Teacher who was a Fan of Nuclear Power - until he went to a Nuclear Power Plant..

2018-09-17 22:06:40 UTC

Meanwhile people are fucking your air quality and blowing up mountains for coal lol

2018-09-17 22:07:21 UTC

Yeah, but the only viable solution is to build a Dam and Water Plants

2018-09-17 22:07:57 UTC

That is the only good solution to creating power

2018-09-17 22:08:03 UTC

The issue is that's only viable in certain areas

2018-09-17 22:08:40 UTC

Geothermal is also good when it can be utilized but again that's not everywhere

2018-09-17 22:09:01 UTC

Yes, that's the other solution.

2018-09-17 22:09:11 UTC

But that's the only good things we have....

2018-09-17 22:09:25 UTC

everything else is shit or worse

2018-09-17 22:28:00 UTC

ya all goign to spend billions shuting coal to go back to nuclear soon

2018-09-17 22:28:26 UTC

never to realise you are doing the biding for the ones behind coal and nuclear energy

2018-09-17 22:28:50 UTC

clearing the market for other to come and fill it

2018-09-17 22:33:05 UTC

@Stefan Payne look up the 'integral fast reactor' and fast breeder reactors in general. solving the waste problem is mostly a political issue, not a science or engineering issue.

2018-09-17 22:34:21 UTC

tl;dr reactor designs exist that burn the fuel more completely resulting in far less waste by mass, and far, far less dangerous or long lasting waste.

2018-09-17 22:34:23 UTC

Fast Breeders like the Tschernobyl one?

2018-09-17 22:36:42 UTC

I think comparing a RBMK to a modern western designed reactor is kind of disingenuous.

2018-09-17 23:14:04 UTC

It’s Christmas already?

2018-09-17 23:34:13 UTC

DiFi is Feinstein.

2018-09-18 00:50:00 UTC

in america can't see reason to avoid nuclear

2018-09-18 00:50:34 UTC

makes sense to avoid exporting the technology worldwide but so far as fear of meltdowns i think we are passed that

2018-09-18 00:51:02 UTC

weve had very good examples of what not to do, so being all weary of it is same as superstition to me

2018-09-18 00:51:38 UTC

as long as its well regulated go for it imo....

2018-09-18 00:52:43 UTC

payne says they had a teacher get scared of the idea after going to a plant, when i was in middleschool we did a trip to local plant and i trust it more because of that. fine to hate on the idea if it cannot be managed properly but so long as standards are in place its not worth fearing

2018-09-18 01:03:09 UTC

Uuhhhh

2018-09-18 01:03:11 UTC

Dudes

2018-09-18 01:04:02 UTC

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's a case of inbred Syrian conscripts shooting down their own allies.

2018-09-18 01:04:34 UTC

These morons lob S200s at every blinking light they see and then ululate in joy when something inevitably explodes.

2018-09-18 01:09:00 UTC

is express trustworthy?

2018-09-18 01:12:48 UTC

I think it's considered a tabloid.

2018-09-18 01:13:20 UTC

But the facts of the article seem sound.

2018-09-18 01:13:35 UTC

so they just forwarded the article from another source?
