No clue if that's true. Though it is a place to start digging.
lol
On the list of things that's not happening. https://www.wkyt.com/content/news/Arizona-Sen-Jeff-Flake-considering-2020-Presidential-run--494858841.html
I got a hunch Flake is probably less popular with Republicans than many Democratic politicians.
Statistics are strange. I have been searching for a study that accurately presents what percent of accusation of rape, sexual assault or harassment are false. There are many studies that state about 2 to 5%. BUT these are from a basis of those brought to authorities. Most I would imagine never get that far, and prosecutors will only bring cases that they think they will win, so this number is reasonable, BUT does not indicate all the false accusations made.
I have seen studies that say about 40% of cases from women go unreported. But it is very difficult to to get data on men. How many false accusations of men go unreported?
I have done personal surveys, and it is hard to find a man that has not been at one time or another been falsely accused. Most, just suffer minor to major issues in their lives and men just have to take it. But if you know of a serious study that surveys men on this, I would be curious. Googling it, does not show much on this specific topic.
One has to filter the 100s of articles written in favor of women. Interesting that few of these studies exist.
For example, look at this Kavenaugh case. If false, it will never show up as a false accusation. But look at the damage it does.
you have to understand that men dont report these things generally. historically the man would be shamed for being a victim of anything involving a woman. Also the 40% of women dont report is pure hyperbol. because if they dont report you cant collect that data. its proving a negative
The other curious thing is rape/assault conviction rates, which is not the same as proving a false accusation. Conviction rates are only about 5 to 10%.
well thats easy, because in the UK (at the moment at least) you are innocent until proven guilty
in court, not in public opiniopn
How many rape cases that ended in acquittal in fact were false?
Since 90% seem to end in acquittal .
no way of knowing, only that there was insufficient proof to convict
why would we beleive someone based on there sex? thats literal sexism
ergo illigal
this is the point @Timcast misses. if you put any word in front of justice you are perverting the meaning.
social justice is just code for mob rule
Interesting point.
i treat women the same as men. so he said x she said y thats a tie for me
but 2v1 means I lean to the 2
LOL, treat women the same as men, and you ask for trouble.
but thats the law
as a conservative person I try my best to obey the law. I don't even speed if I can help it
The other point on men, I would imagine many men will be afraid to even admit a false accusation ... ahh you have been accused ... maybe you are a liar.
sometimes you have to for safety reasons because a lot of non law abiding citizens on our roads
see, I don't think women are worse than men or incapable of standing up for themselves so I treat them the same. not like they are disabled and in need of special treatment
The problem is, there are a lot of white knighting men. If accused ... it is hard.
Margret Thatcher is the prime example of equality and meritocracy
white knight or male feminist is code for creeper that cant attact a woman conventionally
they are desperate for a pity lay
Yes, but it is what it is.
hence why so many turn out to be abusive to women
Yes, the other side of the coin. Hence due process is critical.
