This is no more the broader Republican Party fault than Scalise was the Dems fault. The fault is our tribalism and need to win and therefore our dehumanizing the opponent.
Way to lump me into that group.
Tribalist.
The dude's Twitter posts are spelled horribly and the posts are retweeted non-stop in a binary pattern.
@Bookworm , I don't think I named anyone. Do you disagree that polarized people on both sides are dehumanizing the opponent?
Comparing Pres Trump to an orangutan or Pres Obama to a chimpanzee?
Our. You're referencing me, because you're speaking to me.
The word you're looking for is their.
Their tribalism.
I think the only monkey reference that's been apt in recent presidents has been Dubya. He's totally a monkey.
Or, their and my own, if you are also tribalizing and dehumanizing.
I'm referencing the United States as a whole. Would you disagree that we're forming tribal units on both political poles?
Our side right or wrong
No, we as a nation are not doing that.
They are evil
There's always been tribal units, it's just gotten worse recently due to lefties going batshit crazy.
There might be groups *within* the nation doing that.
until recently, dialogue and debate has always been encouraged, but modern lefties are against that and regularly encourage "SHUT IT DOWN" over debate.
What about those on the right that dehumanize black people? Trans people? "Fags"?
Moral decay brought on by the decline of traditional families.
How hard is it to verify he is a registered dem?
I have two wonderful kids.
Cat, you see .... you have to ask this question.
With two moms
And very active grandparents
Ew
Og
I read attractive lol
Dehumanizing has always happened, but when prompted for debate, the right is usually all in favor of it because they tend to have a strong stance on their opinions, being able to cite faults such as the extremely high crime rates in black areas, thus they feel that if you debate them, they'll win.
It's only been the new wave lefties that have broken this cycle and created open conflict over civil (or even less than civil) debate.
My wife and I have been together 27 years. We went to prom together and at my 20th high school reunion we're the only couple who went that were still together.
@DrYuriMom what are you opinions on abuse in non nuclear families? Do the statistics lie? Or are they correlating things that may have other causations?
Cat, Not all china men are short. But what are the averages?
But there are those who say our love is untraditional, evil, and bad for the country
I think there are too many confounding factors to apply this statistics
And in any case, those statistics would play out if the people involved were in "traditional" relationships. Relationships are just the human beings involved.
Statistics on "nontraditional" (IE non-straight) relations are skewed due to the fact that such relationships have only recently become normalized. That being said, the actual hard statistics tend to show that even if they do have higher rates of difficulty over standard straight families, they're still MASSIVELY ahead of the curve over broken families. And given that the current leftie trends are by and large leading to more broken families and single parent households... I gotta say, everyone who's against same sex parent families is kinda fuckin' stupid.
Why's that?
Well, if you believe there is no correlation to families and morals, then you should be fine.
... really? I... just explained...
Same sex families by modern studies (which are woefully inadequate) tend to be close to, or within a small deviation of straight family dynamics and positivity for the children.
Broken family homes and single parent homes are... DISGUSTINGLY more damaging for children and lead to overwhelming amounts of delinquency, criminal activity amongst the children, lower grades in school, lower job opportunities, the list goes on and on.
Interesting. Do you have a link to those studies?
