I like that game, but I despise the ship upkeep mechanic.
The damn AI cheats and invades me with 200+ ships, and their empire is way smaller than mine. I can only do 50 or less without getting negative income.

@Andrules There are a lot of guides to see how to progress too, as you need to increase your capacity via starholds/traits etc
And damn the 2.2 patch have changed dramatically again the game so I'm learning again thats the good with stellaris 😛

I always took the capacity increase stuff.
I ended up just using cheat codes and giving myself infinite resources.
Then I’d roll in with hundreds of battleships 🤷🏼♂️🤣
