How’s the game play for that? Like Civ or like Total War?

2019-04-05 12:22:11 UTC

Nothing like them tbh

2019-04-05 12:22:45 UTC

They give a big emphasis on the Grand strategy part, so for the most part you are just fine-tuning your nation

2019-04-05 12:41:58 UTC

Ah. So it’s macro scale government policies? How do the battles work, do you get to control anything?

2019-04-05 12:52:33 UTC

For battles, you only control the stacks and command them to where to go

2019-04-05 12:52:58 UTC

after that if you collide with an enemy the fight goes down with pure stats and dices

2019-04-05 13:05:44 UTC

Ah. So basically like Civ combat then.

2019-04-05 13:12:44 UTC

Kinda, but really no as it have a backbone with tradition of your army/ width battles etc. It's kinda a small simulator of what would happen but you just see numbers fly 😛

2019-04-05 13:16:51 UTC

Show me

2019-04-05 13:18:03 UTC

Wait... how does it compare to Stellaris?

2019-04-05 13:19:34 UTC

Well it's like stellaris, without all this choreography on battles you just have 2 pawns with each one have a bar for morale. If you press on them It shows the width/tactics each commander use

2019-04-05 13:21:30 UTC

Oh. Well damn.

2019-04-05 13:22:02 UTC

Was hoping it’d be like Total War. So I could have phyrric victories with my small army.

2019-04-05 13:22:56 UTC

Spelled that wrong... and I think I used it wrong too...

2019-04-05 13:23:05 UTC

Pyrrhic

2019-04-05 13:24:13 UTC

Well, you can still do that if you have a technological advantage or a lot of discipline/morale

2019-04-05 13:24:44 UTC

but I prefer it like that so they can go in more depth on politics/nations like they did

2019-04-05 13:26:20 UTC

Yeah that makes sense it’d be that way with the low combat.

2019-04-05 13:27:56 UTC

Well, first playthrough on this expansion and still did great I believe

2019-04-05 13:28:59 UTC

Does it have a “time limit” to complete?

2019-04-05 13:29:09 UTC

Like in years or whatever.

2019-04-05 13:29:14 UTC

yeah

2019-04-05 13:29:18 UTC

it ends on 1821

2019-04-05 13:29:45 UTC

Start year? And each turn is a year?

2019-04-05 13:29:47 UTC

and it starts on 1444

2019-04-05 13:30:11 UTC

Well the game run like this. You start on 1444 on November 11.

2019-04-05 13:30:20 UTC

each game time calculates by day

2019-04-05 13:30:54 UTC

and each month that pass is your turn as you get your money from provinces/and some things happen.

2019-04-05 13:31:28 UTC

when a year pass you get some modifiers for your prestige etc and lose tradition /projection if you haven't fought etc

2019-04-05 13:35:29 UTC

I failed though to unite EU, but I removed kebab and converted mecca to orthodox

2019-04-05 13:38:00 UTC
