Well the game run like this. You start on 1444 on November 11.

each game time calculates by day

and each month that pass is your turn as you get your money from provinces/and some things happen.

when a year pass you get some modifiers for your prestige etc and lose tradition /projection if you haven't fought etc

I failed though to unite EU, but I removed kebab and converted mecca to orthodox
