In Western Australia, if a child expresses to teachers or school councillors that they feel like they should be the opposite gender, the school has a duty to the child to make sure they get the appropriate treatment to meet their wishes without the parents consent

I love the USA but I agree with the earlier point - the worst aspect of copying what the US does is 'activism' about GET and things like BLM, and just SJW culture in general. We're on the other side of the world, yet for some reason the SJWs here (I estimate there are far less here, but they're just worse in general... as well as louder) decide to pick and choose their causes week by week, and more often than not, it's about domestic policy in the US, something which just doesn't affect us. SMDH.
