It's hard to see Americans standing up when so many are easily distracted from seeing the 57th movie of some guy in a rubber suit flying around or random explosions in space.
Same type of distractions as seeing the 206th show of guys killing each other in a sandpit in Ancient Rome while the empire is fracturing.
We need a society fracturing event, 9-11 wasn't big enough.
Like the total destruction of Hollywood itself from a massive earthquake or whatever.
The problem is not enough people are directly affected by shit that happens.

The thing about Hollywood is millions actually worship them and religiously watch shows, magazines, etc. about them as if every aspect of their life os affected by the life of these mansion dwellers thousands of miles away. Millions are swayed by just their opinion despite how irrelevant it is. Hundreds of these celebrities dying in an earthquake would be like destroying a golden calf before all those who idolize it.
