Worse than the water by itself

2019-03-22 14:44:37 UTC

We have water, and we have Kool Aid, but if you throw that shit together we don't even have a name for it. It's just nothing. And you dump it in the sink because it's worthless.

On your asking for the Bible as a legitimate source... Historians rate the legitimacy of ancient sources based on how many “original” copies exist. All we know about the Ancient Greek philosophers and mathematicians is from less than 10 documents. There’s a few instances where we only have a single historical reference, yet we just accept that these people and their work exists/existed.

2019-03-22 14:53:22 UTC

We have over 1,000 original copies of the Bible.

2019-03-22 14:53:47 UTC

And they all remain over 90% the same.

who tries to find the true meaning of life on a meme discord

2019-03-22 16:04:00 UTC

Yes

2019-03-22 16:08:10 UTC

We been doing that since it started my man 😉😁

@Deleted User I am starting to believe in God. I was a stout atheist.

2019-03-22 17:07:05 UTC

Christ is the only way. It is the only religion and doctrine that preaches that a God loves us. Imagine that, pathetic, weak beings being treasured by a God above all else.

Every other religion preaches a message of obedience. Of war. Or is polytheistic and derives from paganism.

2019-03-22 17:07:29 UTC

Logos

2019-03-22 17:07:39 UTC

There is historical evidence that Christ existed. They have even found his tomb, and it was empty.

2019-03-22 17:08:15 UTC

Jesus was a righteous jew though

2019-03-22 17:08:21 UTC

Another piece of evidence is that the gospel teaches that Abraham, and his descendants rose from their graves and many people saw them.

2019-03-22 17:08:38 UTC

They then transcended to Heaven.

2019-03-22 17:08:48 UTC

The cave of patriarchs is also empty.

2019-03-22 17:08:56 UTC

And the talmudic Jews lost 75% of their people to conversion after Christ

2019-03-22 17:14:22 UTC

Until the day of Christ, the Jews were God's chosen people. Chosen to make a covenant with God, to obey the 617 Mosaic laws in exchange for Israel and special protections. A covenant they broke a million times.

2019-03-22 17:14:48 UTC

And with the fulfillment of the law in Christ, all Christians became God's chosen people. Not the Jews.

2019-03-22 17:15:17 UTC

And their book, the Torah, even tells all the times they screwed up.

2019-03-22 17:15:22 UTC

The Jews lost their special status

2019-03-22 17:15:39 UTC

What happens to all the non jews?

2019-03-22 17:15:43 UTC

Israel? Palestine? Or how about the Kingdom of Jerusalem?<:smugpepe:445634631950139403>

2019-03-22 17:15:43 UTC

Will they go to hell?

2019-03-22 17:15:50 UTC

In the OT? No

2019-03-22 17:16:02 UTC

They were only obligated to the seven laws of Noah

2019-03-22 17:16:12 UTC

As long as they follow those they are righteous gentiles

2019-03-22 17:16:16 UTC

Say I was in 2000BC China

2019-03-22 17:16:18 UTC

But they don't get special stuff

2019-03-22 17:16:21 UTC

What were rhe 7 laws?

2019-03-22 17:17:50 UTC

Do not worship idols. Do not curse God. Establish courts for justice. Do not murder. Do not commit sexual immorality. Do not steal. Do not eat animals that are still alive.

2019-03-22 17:18:27 UTC

They could eat the unclean animals, yeah?

2019-03-22 17:18:41 UTC

That was forbidden I believe.

2019-03-22 17:18:44 UTC

Say I kill a pig, and I cook some bacon.

2019-03-22 17:19:07 UTC

That's okay

2019-03-22 17:19:15 UTC

But don't cut off a live pig's leg and eat it

2019-03-22 17:19:22 UTC

What was their sacrifice for sins?

2019-03-22 17:19:29 UTC

Lambs and stuff

2019-03-22 17:19:35 UTC

Doves maybe...

2019-03-22 17:19:48 UTC

The ancient Chinese for example, they basically had the same religion as Abraham

2019-03-22 17:19:55 UTC

Judaism before Judaism
