Why do Jews have big noses? Because air is free
But then why do Italians have big noses
question: Are trade schools stigmatized as being for ghetto trash in your country?
because Lithuanian trade schools are.
going as far as parents saying "study hard or you'll end up in a trade school with retards"
yet I know, and I'm sure you do too, fellows who picked up something like welding or construction and now live better than kings.
@Niveron In Greece they are, it's mostly for generations now that parents would force their kids into doctors/lawyers and to have a degree from Uni
aside if they would follow it or not
pretty much same here. The thing stems from Soviet times, because those were designed for dropouts and such
I finished one, and while it was indeed infested with gopnik retards, it wasn't such a tough ride.
but graduation rate is abysmal
my class, construction workers specialising in decorating (tiles, wallpaper and shit) had initially 30 students
lectures and practices were attended by half of them at best
only 4, including me graduated.
But the whole teaching athmosphere was better than your standart public schools. teachers had the "it's our job to give you the knowledge, but it is up to you to take it in" attitude.
Same thing here
Even in Unis most people will finish after 6-7 years with a plain 5 as a grade and just go to make coffees later on
There is just that stupid mentality "I need to have a degree" even if they don't want to focus on it
They need to weed out idiots like that.
I as a history major, just got offered to write an article for a War History Museum's almanach on some obscure guns of the late XXth century.
Ohh thats nice
