The thing is that most people aren't going to understand how FPTP causes the two party system because they just don't care to, and so it is difficult to raise awareness for it when none of the big parties consider it a big deal

From what I understand, these types of fires are necessary to burn the dead underbrush and somewhat fertilize the soil

Yes and prevent big fires like these but California doesn't do it because muh environment which is really contradictory seeing how much damage there is if they don't have regular controlled burns.
