Twitter user pay the minimum payment on here 30 year 50K student loan and doesn't understand how interest works, https://www.reddit.com/r/LateStageCapitalism/comments/9bdqa9/educational_loan_is_the_modern_days_key_for/

2018-08-30 02:18:44 UTC

Obviously not a math or econ degree.

2018-08-30 02:22:14 UTC

people in the thread seem to believe that she lives in LA and makes 90K a year. I think a bunch of us are going to get banned, about 25% of the comments are about how she can't budget properly or that she is ignorant. Admins could get us for defending capitalism.

2018-08-30 02:24:16 UTC

I think theres things to critisize about capitalism

2018-08-30 02:24:32 UTC

But taking aloan for a degree that does not pay back? You are asking for it

2018-08-30 02:54:10 UTC

2018-08-30 02:54:30 UTC

2018-08-30 02:54:49 UTC

2018-08-30 03:09:54 UTC

They are not talking about 2016, they are talking about the incident a few weeks ago.

2018-08-30 03:13:30 UTC

*heavy breathing*

The funny thing is that Microsoft actually claims Russia tried to hack the RNC but that they prevented it.

2018-08-30 20:10:03 UTC

They could have

2018-08-30 21:03:11 UTC

so how is this:

- [FBI contradicts Trump claim that China hacked Clinton’s private email server](http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/404192-fbi-denies-trump-claim-that-china-hacked-clintons-private-email)
- [FBI rebuts Trump tweet about China hacking Hillary Clinton's email](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna904811)
- [FBI rejects fringe report, promoted by Trump, that China hacked Hillary Clinton's emails](https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/29/fbi-refutes-report-promoted-by-trump-that-china-obtained-hillary-clintons-emails.html)
- [FBI contradicts Trump's claim about Hillary Clinton's emails being hacked by China](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-fbi-hillary-clinton-email-server-china-hack-contradict-a8513581.html)

2018-08-30 21:03:21 UTC

Direct Quote from FBI:

> "The FBI has not found any evidence the (Clinton) servers were compromised," a bureau official told NBC News.

2018-08-30 21:03:29 UTC

Original Report:

- [SOURCES: CHINA HACKED HILLARY CLINTON’S PRIVATE EMAIL SERVER](https://dailycaller.com/2018/08/27/china-hacked-clinton-server/)

> A Chinese-owned company penetrated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private server, according to sources briefed on the matter.

2018-08-30 21:03:36 UTC

Analysis:

In 2016 the FBI released this statement:

[Statement by FBI Director James B. Comey on the Investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s Use of a Personal E-Mail System](https://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/statement-by-fbi-director-james-b-comey-on-the-investigation-of-secretary-hillary-clinton2019s-use-of-a-personal-e-mail-system)

> [...] we did not find direct evidence that Secretary Clinton’s personal e-mail domain [...] was successfully hacked. But, given the nature of the system and of the actors potentially involved, we assess that we would be unlikely to see such direct evidence. [...]

> [...] Given that combination of factors, we assess it is possible that hostile actors gained access to Secretary Clinton’s personal e-mail account.

So from this, it seems the FBI itself does not think the lack of evidence speaks the the plausabilty of her server being hacked. At the very least - viewed in line with this statement - "The FBI has not found any evidence" does not mean they think it did not happen. It just means they cannot confirm it did.

As the aphorism goes ... Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Here with more formatting:

Various news outlets claim that FBI not finding evidence of China hacking Clinton servers contradicts the claim that they did.

2018-08-30 21:09:59 UTC

To be clear though - I think there is good reason to mistrust the report from the daily caller - but the FBI saying they have no evidence for it is not one of them.

2018-08-30 21:10:12 UTC

"anonymous sources" is one of them though

2018-08-30 21:11:56 UTC

Ähm, AFAIK, they didn't have the Servers or even looked at it. So how do they know??

2018-08-30 21:24:44 UTC

@Stefan Payne well they don't - but that is their point

2018-08-30 21:24:56 UTC

I mean they say they don't expect to find evidence - but go on to say it is possible it happened

2018-08-30 21:25:09 UTC

so the lack of evidence - by their own word - does not really mean anything

2018-08-30 21:25:46 UTC

which is why I'm saying that claiming FBI's lack of evidence is a refuation of the Daily Caller's report is not true

2018-08-30 21:26:18 UTC

Yeah, I totally agree....

2018-08-30 21:30:01 UTC

is basically what the MSM is doing here

2018-08-30 22:50:17 UTC

@xaivei I believe the Daily Caller on this one. The MSM is just running damage control.

2018-08-30 22:50:36 UTC

Atknis, well I dunno what to believe - but it does look like damage control

2018-08-30 22:50:46 UTC

more from FBI than MSMS

2018-08-30 22:51:06 UTC

MSM just shilling for FBI

2018-08-30 22:52:12 UTC

Given the level of detail and specific sources named in the Daily Caller article, as well as the FBI's horrific mishandling of the investigation (and Strzok's involvement) it seems to me like they have the facts on their side. Eventually we'll learn which Chinese firm it was.
