Thing is, even if it's true, is it big enough to be Impeachable

2019-01-18 21:55:49 UTC

Atm, it's just a business dealing

2019-01-18 22:01:28 UTC

Iirc

2019-01-18 22:02:16 UTC

But, even if it was, is this enough to force him out of office

2019-01-19 00:24:33 UTC

It's certainly illegal to make someone lie to Congress

2019-01-19 00:25:27 UTC

I don't know how far they would theoretically be able to take such a case though. Especially since it has absolutely nothing to do with any sort of election interference or any actual illegal actions for that matter

2019-01-19 00:25:43 UTC

Either way, it's already been proven to be almost totally fake news

2019-01-19 01:50:39 UTC

Claims that Trump paid for "poll manipulation" and such, seems to be pretty lacking in evidence

2019-01-19 01:57:15 UTC

He should have asked for a refund, everything said he was gonna get bodied

2019-01-19 02:11:24 UTC

Looks like patreon suddenly recovered the loss caused by rubin and jordan leaving

2019-01-19 02:46:58 UTC

I dont think that's true lol

2019-01-19 03:17:31 UTC

yeah

2019-01-19 03:17:35 UTC

*press X to doubt*

2019-01-19 03:18:11 UTC

you dont just take a large hit and recover it like it's nothing

2019-01-19 04:24:04 UTC

Peterson and Rubin leaving patreon is not even a dent in patreons finances.

2019-01-19 06:58:42 UTC

You forgot Harris and all the people leaving the Plattform.

2019-01-19 06:58:59 UTC

Peterson mentioned in his video that about half his Patreons already left when he deleted it.

2019-01-19 07:13:31 UTC

I did not forget them no. Itβ€˜s just not enough to make a difference to patreon.

2019-01-19 07:18:09 UTC

They have 5 million people giving 12.5 million to creators per month. Not even Chapo Traphouse leaving would make a dent in that and they are the most profitable creator on the platform.

2019-01-19 07:19:35 UTC

You have to remember that the vast majority of people on patron have never even heard of Sargon, Peterson, Rubin or Seder.

2019-01-19 08:03:10 UTC

if Patreon started mass removing porn, thered be a hell of a drop

2019-01-19 08:15:25 UTC

if they'd remove all adult content that would be a 25% drop so that would make a difference for them, yeah.

2019-01-19 09:20:15 UTC

sounds like a nice guy.

2019-01-19 09:34:13 UTC

Sounds like the usual left lunatic

2019-01-19 09:34:27 UTC

I recommend the latest Dave Cullen (Computing Forever) Video

2019-01-19 12:26:30 UTC

my computer runs just fine

2019-01-20 04:10:54 UTC

Whenever you have "white" as a descriptor in a news article, that's race bait

2019-01-20 08:49:32 UTC

yep, like that article about the white man that killed a young black girl only for it to be discovered it was another black man that did it.

2019-01-20 08:49:48 UTC

I do not recall the news actually saying that. it was just conveniently ignored.

2019-01-20 11:20:24 UTC

@I AM ERROR
Uhm, they actually have done 2 crackdowns on adult content already

2019-01-20 11:20:59 UTC

and a ton of people have either left, going to leave, set up shop elsewhere just in case OR have serious issue with this sudden censorship on their asses.

2019-01-20 11:22:41 UTC

Nobody sits there and is enjoying watching their pledges go down or their page suspended until they comply with the "trust and safety council's" vague "rules".
I know several of these people that seen their pages removed and had to keep removing posts with no concrete direction nor guidance from patreon.

2019-01-20 12:57:38 UTC

Well you have to remember accusations go on page 1 headlines, retractions and corrections go on page 6 big things sell papers, and it is the ideology that news has functioned under for a long time now.

2019-01-20 17:38:16 UTC

@tritrium adult content is still a quarter of their (public) pledges. they might have had 2 crackdowns on it, does not change the current state of it.

2019-01-20 17:39:07 UTC

no but im just saying its the same feeling going around in these circles in regards to patreon as with the political side of things

2019-01-20 18:49:27 UTC

i'm sure that's true but from what can tell most people leaving because of the sargon incident are more in the political realm. if there is a viable alternative for adult content and those creators leave en masse - that is when patreon will have a problem.

2019-01-20 18:51:17 UTC

the lack of adult content killed betamax after all πŸ˜‰

2019-01-20 19:27:58 UTC

Well there is that.
And then there are active attempts to sanitize (which is what theyre doing) their own platform in regards to adult content.
Its not so much about people leaving like with sargon n co, its more about being forced out by banning people over patron only posts.
You cant post any nudity public on patron these days, but theyre going further by taking issue with anything you post privately aka patron only as well.
Your adult content is fine as long as its in line with the personal morals of that trust and safety council, hence a ton of people want to leave.
