Peterson and Rubin leaving patreon is not even a dent in patreons finances.
You forgot Harris and all the people leaving the Plattform.
Peterson mentioned in his video that about half his Patreons already left when he deleted it.
I did not forget them no. It‘s just not enough to make a difference to patreon.
They have 5 million people giving 12.5 million to creators per month. Not even Chapo Traphouse leaving would make a dent in that and they are the most profitable creator on the platform.
You have to remember that the vast majority of people on patron have never even heard of Sargon, Peterson, Rubin or Seder.

Uhm, they actually have done 2 crackdowns on adult content already
and a ton of people have either left, going to leave, set up shop elsewhere just in case OR have serious issue with this sudden censorship on their asses.
Nobody sits there and is enjoying watching their pledges go down or their page suspended until they comply with the "trust and safety council's" vague "rules".
I know several of these people that seen their pages removed and had to keep removing posts with no concrete direction nor guidance from patreon.
Well you have to remember accusations go on page 1 headlines, retractions and corrections go on page 6 big things sell papers, and it is the ideology that news has functioned under for a long time now.

no but im just saying its the same feeling going around in these circles in regards to patreon as with the political side of things
i'm sure that's true but from what can tell most people leaving because of the sargon incident are more in the political realm. if there is a viable alternative for adult content and those creators leave en masse - that is when patreon will have a problem.

And then there are active attempts to sanitize (which is what theyre doing) their own platform in regards to adult content.
Its not so much about people leaving like with sargon n co, its more about being forced out by banning people over patron only posts.
You cant post any nudity public on patron these days, but theyre going further by taking issue with anything you post privately aka patron only as well.
Your adult content is fine as long as its in line with the personal morals of that trust and safety council, hence a ton of people want to leave.
