Seems Hickenlooper is a conservative Dem in favor of fracking and outsourcing. And he initially opposed legalizing marijuana.

And hell, if fracking and outsourcing, when each makes rational sense, makes one "conservative", then paint me guilty too.
And honestly my view of recreational marijuana being legal has evolved over time
Anyone over 40 has likely seen their views on that change
And not because of political machinations but simply because we know more now than we did back then
Same with why I give a pass on people accepting GLBT because, again, we know more now than we did back then.
If people can't accept changing views over time then you'd best investigate that "Changer in Chief" given Trump has evolved too
I'm still waiting to see if I'll be amused by the 2020 election lineup. It's possible we could have a Democrat running as a Republican and a Republican running as a Democrat. Trump vs Bloomberg.

Oh, I'm fine with people changing their minds over time. It's more a matter of whether or not I trust the people saying their views have changed. But I'm leery of fracking because of its association with respiratory problems and such. And if outsourcing causes folks here to lose jobs, I'm not okay with that.
I think that's really the core thing - is the opinion change genuine or did it only happen for the candidacy?

I suspect I'll be paying taxes on my taxes due to the tax "cut". I already had to increase my withholding to account for the fact I won't get individual deductions for my kids this time around.
