to convey to you that what you are saying is crazy, and strong words like "fuck" will often get people's attention more. It's less civil, but it doesn't have to do with the ability to maintain a train of thought

2018-12-02 04:14:49 UTC

Aussie feminists are the fucking worst.

2018-12-02 04:15:43 UTC

@H E C K "It's less civil" .. To do what? What is "less civil" ?

2018-12-02 04:15:49 UTC

Also the worst fucks.

2018-12-02 04:16:46 UTC

satan ficke fuck fisse sheisse cunt ass anal kurwa..there

2018-12-02 04:17:27 UTC

To use cussing is less civil of course, particularly if used as an insult or directed at someone. That's when it crosses over from an exchange of ideas to an exchange of personal attacks.

2018-12-02 04:18:46 UTC

@H E C K In all manners of politeness, and at the basest of it's english meaning "kindly go fuck yourself" ... In scandinavia, "cussing" is culture

2018-12-02 04:19:28 UTC

"cussing" ... IT'S NOT EVEN IN DICTIONARY!!!

2018-12-02 04:19:39 UTC

_cursing_

2018-12-02 04:20:01 UTC

Lots of "bad" things are culture, doesn't make them acceptable everywhere. My point still stands.

2018-12-02 04:20:54 UTC

no, you point is shit.. And about curtailing of expression, instead of speaking it out honestly

2018-12-02 04:21:30 UTC

you're not writing a novel here

2018-12-02 04:22:07 UTC

I'm not curtailing expression because I'm not trying to stop people from swearing. In the context of political discourse, civility is key. I don't see how you'd be against that.

2018-12-02 04:22:45 UTC

This is fucking pathetic. Grow up, cunts.

2018-12-02 04:24:03 UTC

Language pls if u can’t say anything intelligent then u have nothing constructive to add

2018-12-02 04:24:09 UTC

civility aka political correctness is just a way to censor what others can say

2018-12-02 04:24:51 UTC

Agreed but I literally cannot understand what ur trying to say Bc of the cussing. Not saying don’t do it just that u have now lost the audience

2018-12-02 04:24:53 UTC

@H E C K I'm civil as fuck, I am the person next door, .. I deliver your mail, and i smile and say hello..Imagine how much fun we could have, and how free we would feel... IF YOU COULD SAY "HEY, YOU MOTHERFUCKER, HOW ABOUT THAT BBQ YOU MENTIONED A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO, WHEN I FIRST MOVED INTO THE NEIGHBORHOOD"

2018-12-02 04:25:13 UTC

Oh ok I understand that one

2018-12-02 04:25:31 UTC

No, civility is what keeps two sides from going at each other's throats. Political correctness is completely different because one is enforced and the other is meant to be optional and agreed upon by both sides @.B

2018-12-02 04:26:12 UTC

well, we don't agree upon it

2018-12-02 04:26:40 UTC

@.B Well, then no progress is made and both sides continue to fight. Which is kind of where we are now.

2018-12-02 04:27:01 UTC

which is how things should be

2018-12-02 04:27:23 UTC

stop trying to silence others by usuing "civility" as an excuse

2018-12-02 04:27:41 UTC

I kinda have to take the hardline on this one. The far left likes to use words as weapons by confusing their meaning. Eventually Civility can become a misnomer and that we should be on guard for anyone who tries any kind of censorship. Earlier I was just saying that the cussing quite literally got in the way of me understanding he argument

2018-12-02 04:28:18 UTC

@.B I agree tho again take issue w the cussing

2018-12-02 04:28:24 UTC

@HaydenAlexPort that's fair

2018-12-02 04:28:57 UTC

Also *in super gay voice* I’m a good Christian woman

2018-12-02 04:29:06 UTC

Okay, you guys gotta be trolling me. I've said now multiple times that I'm not trying to silence anyone. Civility isn't just used in debates as a way to convince your opponent but also to convince other people watching the debate. If you keep calm and refrain from attacking others then it can help in convincing the audience. They teach you this in high school debate classes.

2018-12-02 04:29:12 UTC

Civility is the realization that we achieve effective ends better through positive relationshios than negative

2018-12-02 04:29:28 UTC

Thank you clear definition is key.

2018-12-02 04:29:38 UTC
2018-12-02 04:29:49 UTC

In business we call it emotional intelligence

2018-12-02 04:30:09 UTC

If we can clearly define terms before the outset of a discussion it keeps P.C. out

2018-12-02 04:30:16 UTC

Hopefully

2018-12-02 04:30:17 UTC

Emotional incontinence*

2018-12-02 04:30:20 UTC

...

2018-12-02 04:30:44 UTC

And we have downgraded to name calling

2018-12-02 04:30:51 UTC

If you insist on insulting customers and co-workers you likely won't be working

2018-12-02 04:31:13 UTC

Lol. Agreed tho I thankfully have never had to work in retail

2018-12-02 04:31:38 UTC

I’m cis white male who stared his own company at 19 so yay me
