It's not the old "add 30 more milimeters of steel!"
booze!! Dammit
*glare*
It's become **very** intricate
More tech is better than more armor.
said ms tanky wanky in 1930s
I know Tech is better
But is it worth it in the long run?
k, staggering off to bed, nite all
I don't see why it wouldn't be.
Putting millions into a new defensive measure that'll only defend a tank for another shell
It's not just one shell. They tend to be able to rearm themselves.
Yes, but in the middle of combat
It's automatic.
How much time does it take?
For it to be on full defense yet again
If it takes even 15 seconds, wish goodbye because that's another shell
I'll have to look it up but generally tanks have multiple mounted.
And making it automatic just increases the price again
Enemy tank being annoying?
It looks like it takes about a second to reload.
Very quick
Very good defense.
But if a tank costs a lot to make
You can't field enough of them to be very effective
It's an add-on not a complete vehicle.
I was just talking about prices of tanks
Bolo
Like, how much does an Abrams cost?
"For the Honor of the Regiment"
Such a great series of stories
An Abrams as I can find out
Costs millions
Apparently 6mil but if they reuse old parts it's closer to 2mil.
A lot of money
A shitload less than an F35
How much is that worth in some really good air to ground missiles?
Planes are much more and have a smaller payload.
And aren't as good for close quarters.
They are good at destroying big areas though.
