the only people who dont get gov healthcare in the US, are the ones that contribute to the medicare(or ACA) budget 😛

The wait lines arent really a Canada thing, they're a ontario thing. Go to Alberta and you'll pretty much never fucking see one

Taxes, i forget how exactly they compare to the US, but they're not all that high compared to europe iirc.

And the healthcare isnt quite 'universal'

in the way the NHS for example is.

I like that I can walk into a local docs ... no forms to fill in... see doc, get what I need.. go home

Pretty much works like that here too.

The 'universal healthcare' covers doctor and hospital visits, and involves price controls on some medications

or just phone 111 and get whatever medical advice from a doc you need

However, generally speaking, if your doctor prescribes you something, you need either insurance or to pay for it.

You dont have to worry about anything if you're in a hospital though

the US medicare budget... per capira is $8508 ... in the UK the NHS budget is $3500 per capita

Also, even for Ontario

The waiting lines thing is really played up

compared to the reality

our budget per person is lower and we have lower wait times, higher standards, several other stats were higher....

the only stat that was similar to the US was the health of our people 😛

I just finished listening to Queen 1

Holy shit the album is amazing

Though Freddie hadn't reached his peak singing back then

He sounds like a teenager who's balls haven't dropped lol

But the production, the writing, the opera bits are some of the best I've heard in music history

Very few bands come even close to the scale of queen's music

I cannot recommend it enough
