ahh i once got into it with a PhD in chicano studies. He was mad at me because I didn't include the people of latin america in Western civ. his argument went like this: You teach western civ we are a part of western civ. you white boy's gonna pay for writing my people out of history" i said, "your PhD is bullshit" and walked away
give it time, i'm sure the african american studies departments will soon offer a minor in chicago studies, or harlem studies, or new orleans studies, and can't forget Hawtlanta studies!
