Houses are definitely more expensive now but it also depends where you live
DO NOT IGNORE THIS.
no, but they did keep up with a doubling in the workforce
Muh dick gets inflated when i see a hot girl
whats the size of those houses?
Inflation confirmed
There's less land, so the value of a house increases
i'm only seeing prices
"less land"
I don't think you understand what's actually going on.
China is buying houses here like a motherfucker.
Demand is up, but the people buying aren't local.
the why doesn't actually matter to scribs argument.
CHYNA
buying houses where?
the fact it is expensive is the point of scribs argument
There is less land that can be developped into housing
Because previous land has already been converted to housing
and that it hard to call younger people spoiled when our parents had to spend half as much on a house
theres actually plenty of land
Just not in Cali or NY
I can buy a big house in Kansas for 80k
true
Grenade is on the ball.
there is plenty of cheap land....where peopel don't want to be
Oh in KANSAS. Well then.
try alaska
Why didn't you say so. The solution to all americans is Kansa.
LETSA-GOOOOO~~~~!
I'm not saying there is NO land available but there is LESS land available
If you want to live in a few major cities everyone else wants to
There's... so much land out there.
demand will be high and prices will be high
It's the most trivial part of the argument.
too many people
There's also a lot more regulations in building a house, which increases the cost. Some of these regulations are for good reasons like building a good working house, and some are for less important reasons like aesthetics.
Not sure i can agree that the current generation is not spoiled, when little over 100 years ago
People sold everything they had and traveled north to try and find gold in Alaska
and the current generation complains it can't find a house in a state they like
Dude, I'm supporting your argument but okay
You want what everyone else wants, its going to cost you
there is another problem, with the bubble in 2008, demand to build houses dropped, so less houses were built. now people can afford to get a house, but there are not enough houses. so cost of existing houses is going up
I took exception with the fact you called us spoiled.
