No, they lost me at T
@Tits McGee little details to de legitimize
like trannies are a thing anyway
Also why did they feel the need to add Q?????????????????
That line of thinking really contradicts the idea that trans people are... transitioned from one gender to the other
Q is all of them?????????????
What the fuck
isn't Queer a kink? as opposed to a sexual orientation?
it should just be Gay-Bi
GB
I'm 99% sure no
you know, I don't get why the T is there in the first place
Lesbian, Bisexual and Gay are all sexualities, while Transgenderism is a mental condition
cuz Lesbians are gay wamen, so its the same
For me , Q was supposed to be Questioning. Someone who knew they weren't straight, but hadn't quite figured it out yet. Queer I don't understand at all. I don't like the word.
and Trans people don't exist
Queer has just become a catch-all for people who can't find a fitting label, or aren't satisfied with a normal one like 'gay'
ooh, fucks who wanna stand out, from the people who stand out
Or instead of GB, just... Q
WeAreQ
👌
Qtim-non

I would have loved a "questioning" identity in high school. I thought I was a lesbian for several years before I came to terms with my bisexuality. I felt like I had to choose, and so I accidentally became of those "pretendbians" that lesbians hate so much. I didn't give myself time to figure it out and the community was so "supportive" that it actually ended up pressuring me into picking a label for myself that didn't really fit.
@Tits McGee why pick a label , you like what you like why does everyone else's opinion matter to you
""supportive"" 😂
How many Qs are straight but don't want to admit it?
I really do worry for the younger people who in the past would have been considered lesbians, or even just tom boys who are now being pushed towards transitioning to male, and vice versa
all
@Tits McGee the only person's opinion that should matter to you is the person you are being intimate with
Like I'm sure there are some who can make the decision and be happy with it at that age, but so many people really struggle with identity during puberty and making a life altering decision isn't something many of them can fully understand the impact of
@Rabbi Shekels It's different now than it used to be, trust me. I think now there's more understanding if someone says, "Hey, I thought I was this, but I think I'm actually that instead"
It's a really sad situation given how much better transitioning works from a young age
People question it because they're TOLD to question it
Some do
@Tits McGee it's only diffrent because you let others dictate how you feel
And we're discussing teenagers. That's pretty much normal for them.
no, hear me out
If a person has no concept that being gay or not is bad
They'll just be curious if they're unsure, Try it, and decide yes or no, and they'll know
If they don't have curiosity, they're just not
problem solved naturally
Its the fact they're told "Oh you are unsure, but people think its bad, so don't show it unless you're sure, blabla"
How many teenagers *actually* don't care about what others think of them? Not very many
good lord Vox is such garbage
its the fact that people FEAR that its negative that causes confusion, because they fear that they're different in a bad way
I'm concerned as well about young people transitioning. I had a girl ask me if I was a trans guy because I listen to heavy metal, wear t-shirts and jeans, and have short hair. The fact that I have always identified as a woman was an afterthought, I guess. The idea of just being doing stuff not affiliated with your gender is kind of a foreign concept now.
Eh, I just figure it's dumb to think that what what you're attracted to now will always be the same in the future. Sometimes life gives you surprises. You like what you like now. You like later what you like later. Forcing matters doesn't turn out too well
