incompetence in unintentional propaganda could be in GTA, where doing crime is all the game is about, but doing crime is also what the game punishes you for (like when you shoot people, the game gets harder for a while till you lose the cops)
this sends the message that fictional crime is exiting and fun
this sends the message that you shouldnt commit fictional crime

Call of Duty portrays US soldiers in positive light. Pretty sure that's propaganda to some.

2018-08-13 18:38:53 UTC

Funny, that Ghost in the shell game does the same

2018-08-13 18:39:09 UTC

America's Army is a deliberate recruitment tool

2018-08-13 18:39:15 UTC

GitS is not

2018-08-13 18:39:26 UTC

No, Im wondering why in Gits its done

2018-08-13 18:39:36 UTC

It makes the game harder when you cant tell whos what class

2018-08-13 18:39:45 UTC

Americans Army was a legit fun game and is full on propaganda

2018-08-13 18:39:47 UTC

maybe mass effect 1 and 2 are good propaganda games

2018-08-13 18:39:48 UTC

Because it makes IFF easy

2018-08-13 18:39:56 UTC

literally funded by the us army

2018-08-13 18:39:59 UTC

with their renegade and the blue one systems

2018-08-13 18:40:05 UTC

Mass Effect is not propaganda lol

2018-08-13 18:40:06 UTC

paragon?

2018-08-13 18:40:13 UTC

yes

2018-08-13 18:40:19 UTC

paragon and renegade

2018-08-13 18:40:19 UTC

I dont think propaganda is expecting the player to choose.

2018-08-13 18:40:31 UTC

Since in ME paragon and renegade comes with their own rewards

2018-08-13 18:40:39 UTC

And whether or not they are worth it is subjective

2018-08-13 18:40:44 UTC

it encourages you to apply a (temporary or honest) morality system in a fictional world to see how it works out

2018-08-13 18:40:53 UTC

You appear to be taking any sort of interpretation one can make regarding a game and then calling it propaganda

2018-08-13 18:40:57 UTC

Which is not useful

2018-08-13 18:41:02 UTC

The later ME games had some shit in them I would call minor propaganda

2018-08-13 18:41:08 UTC

Which is why I suggested it this way.

2018-08-13 18:41:09 UTC

unintentional

2018-08-13 18:41:28 UTC

Imo the ass creed american revolution edition was propagandist as fuck

2018-08-13 18:41:32 UTC

Okay you know what game I was gonna put forward as "propaganda"?

2018-08-13 18:41:36 UTC

A) that's not a thing
B) you undermine the actual term by misusing it

2018-08-13 18:41:39 UTC

Or propagandaistic?

2018-08-13 18:41:44 UTC

you could say any game with a morality system is propaganda then.

2018-08-13 18:41:47 UTC

Oh, I thought of a good game that is propaganda: Genital Jousting

2018-08-13 18:41:58 UTC

Any game that does not have morality choices

2018-08-13 18:42:00 UTC

Not even joking, gimme a second

2018-08-13 18:42:07 UTC

And pushes the idea that the character is you.

2018-08-13 18:42:15 UTC

i cant think of a word, its a motorized vehicle but with only 2 wheels

2018-08-13 18:42:28 UTC

better not use the term motorized vehicle though, im undermining the term

2018-08-13 18:42:38 UTC

http://freelives.net/the-many-questions-of-genital-jousting/
```we like to think of the game as a trojan horse - a way to deliver a sex positive message to an audience that might never get to hear it otherwise. We have feelings to explore, and things to say, and by wrapping them in a big joke, we're hoping to sneak some of our ideas past the watchful gaze of unsuspecting cis-het dudes.```
2018-08-13 18:42:41 UTC
You'd better call it a car because that's easier
2018-08-13 18:42:49 UTC
That sounds like propaganda to me
2018-08-13 18:42:50 UTC
Or a helicopter
2018-08-13 18:42:57 UTC
with 2 wheels it would be a motorcycle i think
