i also think depicting the nazis as cartoonishly evil is missing the historical lesson of how a society can end up like that
and it's also contributing in creating new neo-nazis, because if you realize that nazis werent cartoonish you might jump to conclusions that they actually made a lot of sense
the more you smear something, the more legitimacy you give it, to people who doubt the smearing
