What the hell is this 'post-millennial'? that spans 20+ years. Thats just lazy. Is the world really going to be so different after the Millies that the next gen is named after them. I don't think so.

And the current generation is more naive than ever

I really think it is country based then. I really can't confirrm what you said with my experience, young people are kinda liberal here but communism is not that popular. Maybe it's because my peers are all middle class or something.

I know the Americans’ healthcare system is bizarrely rigged, they get far less bang out of their buck.
