because player is more accurate

2018-08-24 20:01:31 UTC

MVP- Most valuable player... it’s not new really

2018-08-24 20:01:32 UTC

yes

2018-08-24 20:01:33 UTC

you can be the better man while still having played worse πŸ˜‰

2018-08-24 20:01:59 UTC

semantics πŸ˜‰

2018-08-24 20:02:50 UTC

Semantics?! More like semen-antics, am I right fellas. Up top!

2018-08-24 20:03:20 UTC

It's called 'man of the match' It's never been a problem. English is the best language in the world because it is the most descriptive. When women play they can have 'woman of the match'. We have more information. Think about it terms of the history books.

2018-08-24 20:03:57 UTC

You are going to know at a glace if the are reading about womans or mens cricket. The information is baked in to the words.

2018-08-24 20:04:05 UTC

why have two gendered terms for the same thing instead one perfectly accurate and ungendered term

2018-08-24 20:04:21 UTC

this is not the same as changing mankind to peoplekind

2018-08-24 20:04:27 UTC

because it's forced

2018-08-24 20:04:32 UTC

^^^

2018-08-24 20:04:53 UTC

how is it forced

2018-08-24 20:05:08 UTC

Senny, I just pointed out why it's better to have gendered terms.

2018-08-24 20:05:29 UTC

Aren't people activly trying to change the words being used?

2018-08-24 20:05:31 UTC

They are changing it to change it. To gewt you to say what they want you top.

2018-08-24 20:05:57 UTC

It doesn;t matter what they get you to say just as long as they get you to say it.

2018-08-24 20:06:58 UTC

yeaaa... so because there are unreasonable demnad to change language you gonna oppose one that's perfectly respectable because..scoring against opponent or what ?

2018-08-24 20:08:34 UTC

One small change they say , then they keep makin those small changes fuck them

2018-08-24 20:08:36 UTC

No, I'm not objecting for the sake of it. I can name reasons why it should not be changed. If all you have for it to be changed is that it doesn't matter if it is, then I win.

2018-08-24 20:09:25 UTC

And it's another attempt to control language

2018-08-24 20:09:33 UTC

i have one reason for it: it sounds better πŸ˜›

2018-08-24 20:09:34 UTC

I'm not saying it doesn't matter. I'm saying it's actually superior term

2018-08-24 20:09:48 UTC

@I AM ERROR it sounds more PC

2018-08-24 20:09:53 UTC

Subjective, don't count.

2018-08-24 20:10:20 UTC

yea you can say that to anything that's not hard science

2018-08-24 20:10:23 UTC

nah, it sounds more in line with how every one else is doing it

2018-08-24 20:10:25 UTC

great argument

2018-08-24 20:10:28 UTC

No it is not a surperior term. It contains less information.

2018-08-24 20:10:48 UTC

it contains more information

2018-08-24 20:10:56 UTC

no it doesn't

2018-08-24 20:10:57 UTC

I'm calling it now, the USA will die, and what will come from the ashes will be terrifying.

2018-08-24 20:10:58 UTC

man =/= player

2018-08-24 20:11:06 UTC

could be the coach

2018-08-24 20:11:11 UTC

eh

2018-08-24 20:11:22 UTC

A coach can't be man of the match

2018-08-24 20:11:29 UTC

He isn't playing on the field

2018-08-24 20:11:51 UTC

I feel like tim almost said cnn is fake news in his new vid lmao

2018-08-24 20:11:52 UTC

he participates in the match

2018-08-24 20:12:36 UTC

Yes and so do the little kids getting the footballs for the players, Let's just give random strangers man of the match title lol

2018-08-24 20:12:54 UTC

'man of the match' A man that played the best. Must of been playing in the mans league. 'Player of the match' Human that played the best.
