It's called 'man of the match' It's never been a problem. English is the best language in the world because it is the most descriptive. When women play they can have 'woman of the match'. We have more information. Think about it terms of the history books.

You are going to know at a glace if the are reading about womans or mens cricket. The information is baked in to the words.
