David is a Sociopath, Religion helped him to get "on the right part" and be a decent part of Society.
Without that he could have become a Mass Murderer...
like i said, beliefs are unconsciously informed, he found a organized religion that resonates with his subconscious beliefs on how the world should work
i think my biggest problem with atheism is that when people get too into it it starts becoming the worst parts of being overtly-religious. in my lifetime the biggest earful about beliefs i have gotten has consistently been atheists, and i've known some pretty possessed religious folks

And that's also kinda religious because he believes in a "higher power", the Power of Science in this case 😉
people having some sort of system they adhere to isn't bad stefan, argument with tyson is its a fairly logical and flexible one. most the ills of religion have to do with infelxibility
@Ottobon That's my experience too. Except the religious types have sorta learned to moderate a bit. The Atheists I know will outright discriminate and harass people out. You don't want to see some of the discussions I've heard at various Universities. Often from places like the Admissions Office and Bias Reponse Team.
