2019-09-17 14:21:32 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

How does your body amount to 'frequency'?

2019-09-17 14:27:46 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

They never confirmed the existence of scalar waves in that CIA document @BigCal

2019-09-17 14:29:48 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

I do agree with that

2019-09-17 14:29:50 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Yeah.

2019-09-17 14:33:09 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

People have believed the earth to be round since long before NASA @BigCal

2019-09-17 14:34:06 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

The whole aliens at area 51 thing was to cover up research on advanced aircraft @BigCal

2019-09-17 14:34:25 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

When I say the earth is round, I mean it is an oblate spheroid @Mathieus the Walking Witness

2019-09-17 14:35:32 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

They do show it to you all the time, you just claim it's fake.

2019-09-17 14:36:11 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

That's the beautiful effect of gravity at work.

2019-09-17 14:36:30 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

It's not noticeable

2019-09-17 14:36:40 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

But there is indeed a slight bulge around the equator

2019-09-17 14:37:03 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Don't forget to add in the cavendish experiment

2019-09-17 14:37:15 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

As well as atmospheric refraction

2019-09-17 14:37:36 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

It is...

2019-09-17 14:37:43 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

It's literally called that.

2019-09-17 14:38:35 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

I have seen flat earthers claim that electromagnetism is the reason why the cavendish experiment is not valid.

2019-09-17 14:38:41 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Is that what you're getting at?

2019-09-17 14:38:58 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

If so, then you're quite wrong.

2019-09-17 14:39:49 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Yeah, what's the problem?

2019-09-17 14:58:46 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

The IV in the cavendish experiment is gravity, the DV in the experiment is the lead balls @Mathieus the Walking Witness

2019-09-17 15:02:06 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Okay, genius. A scientist is testing the effect of light and dark on the behavior of moths by turning a light on and off. The independent variable is the amount of light and the moth's reaction is the dependent variable. So the experiment proves that moths are attracted to light based on circular reasoning? of course not. @Mathieus the Walking Witness

2019-09-17 15:03:21 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

No, I am quite on topic. I am providing an example in an attempt to help you understand why your point about circular reasoning is incorrect. @Mathieus the Walking Witness

2019-09-17 15:04:11 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

The structure of the moth experiment is the same as the structure of the cavendish experiment because they both use the scientific method, and both have independent and dependent variables.

2019-09-17 15:05:14 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Actually, it makes a ton of sense

2019-09-17 15:05:41 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Watch this woman replicate the cavendish experiment, and then mathematically confirm her results

2019-09-17 15:06:14 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Gravity is a fundamental force of the universe.

2019-09-17 15:06:28 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Let me ask you something, do you believe that electromagnetism exists?

2019-09-17 15:07:27 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Okay, that's interesting...then why do you think things fall to the ground? @Abe Lover

2019-09-17 15:08:43 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

I don't think I've ever read anything about that.

2019-09-17 15:09:00 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Gravity is a force. Thanks to newton's equations, we can measure it.

2019-09-17 15:09:53 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

To calculate the force of gravity, physicists use the formula f = ma (force = mass x acceleration)

2019-09-17 15:11:46 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Okay, so let me get this straight

2019-09-17 15:12:24 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

You read an article online and are now interpreting it based on your lack of understanding of how gravity is viewed in general relativity?

2019-09-17 15:13:10 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

^

2019-09-17 15:13:49 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

There are things called pockets that are placed on the inside of coats @Seeker of Truth

2019-09-17 15:13:55 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

lmao

2019-09-17 15:16:51 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Gravity is a mathematically measurable force that has been proven to exist long, long ago. Einstein's theory of general relativity most likely wouldn't exist today without Newton's original calculations...I find it interesting that you claim you have found a discrepancy that huge amounts of scientists who have reviewed their work simply...missed.
I think you need to do some more research. @Abe Lover

2019-09-17 15:17:39 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

LOL

2019-09-17 15:18:10 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

'Unproven theory' sounds like an oxymoron to me

2019-09-17 15:19:22 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Since you guys enjoy scrutinizing the globe so much, how about we try that on the flat earth for a bit?

2019-09-17 15:19:38 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Let's see. What is your explanation for the reason why things fall down? @Seeker of Truth

2019-09-17 15:20:26 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Are you serious

2019-09-17 15:20:30 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

wtf

2019-09-17 15:20:57 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Okay, let's say I gave up and realized gravity is an 'unproven theory'. What do you propose replaces it? @Seeker of Truth

2019-09-17 15:21:48 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Come on guys.

2019-09-17 15:22:06 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

PLease, someone explain to me how things fall to the ground on the flat earth model.

2019-09-17 15:22:47 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Okay, then explain what is real.

2019-09-17 15:23:54 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

I really just want to know what causes things to fall on a flat earth. Can you explain? @Abe Lover

2019-09-17 15:24:41 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

What causes things to fall on a flat earth? @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:26:31 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

How do things fall on a flat earth? @ElectroquasistaticMagnetoMan

2019-09-17 15:26:51 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Oh

2019-09-17 15:26:54 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

I thought you were one

2019-09-17 15:28:17 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

If you exert enough force on an object against gravity, it will go up @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:29:01 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Interestingly, when you jump up, you are exerting an equally strong opposite force directly back on the earth.

2019-09-17 15:29:46 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Yes, there are forces exerted on a helium balloon. The helium in the balloon being lighter than the air around it is stronger than the force gravity exerts on the balloon. @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:31:11 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

So. I tried to ask flat earthers questions about the flat earth but they refuse to answer questions, claiming they don't need to say anything unless I answer all their questions.

2019-09-17 15:31:28 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Pretty funny, coming from someone who is challenging general knowledge.

2019-09-17 15:32:00 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Not exactly, buoyancy. The same reason why if you fill a balloon with air under water, it will go to the top. @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:32:26 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

However, density is the reason why buoyancy can exist.

2019-09-17 15:32:36 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Density can only exist if gravity exists.

2019-09-17 15:33:07 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Because density does not exist without gravity. It's simple as that.

2019-09-17 15:34:26 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Gravity is a force between atoms that causes them to attract each other. Density can only occur when the atoms know which way to coalesce. Without gravity, there is no up or down. @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:35:22 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

No, things that are lighter go up because of two forces that are a direct consequence of the existence of gravity @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:35:56 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Gravity is a fundamental force of the universe.

2019-09-17 15:35:59 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Yes, it is a force.

2019-09-17 15:36:27 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

I'm sure there is an equation for that.

2019-09-17 15:36:45 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

No, the water has no density without gravity. @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:36:57 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Air has no density without gravity

2019-09-17 15:37:44 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Regardless, can you explain to me why the sun remains suspended in the air if it is local? @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:38:25 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

You're talking about the gravitational constant. The amount of force exerted by gravity on a given place changes, depending on the mass of the material @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:39:28 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

No

2019-09-17 15:39:32 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Mass

2019-09-17 15:39:34 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

is not

2019-09-17 15:39:36 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

density

2019-09-17 15:43:09 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

Yes, that is true, they float because of a combination of buoyancy, density, **and most importantly, gravity**

2019-09-17 15:43:21 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

Because neither density nor buoyancy exist without it

2019-09-17 15:46:51 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

For the last time. Buoyancy. Does. Not. Exist.

2019-09-17 15:46:53 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

Without.

2019-09-17 15:46:55 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

Gravity.

2019-09-17 15:47:21 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

I'm sorry

2019-09-17 15:47:25 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

my brain is just melting

2019-09-17 15:49:21 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

Okay, let me put it this way. If you have a feather in the air, how does it know not to fall upwards? @rivenator12113

2019-09-17 15:49:42 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

The air density and pressure, for all intensive purposes is the same on all sides of it.

2019-09-17 15:49:56 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

Why doesn't it fall upwards, then?

2019-09-17 15:50:46 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

No.

2019-09-17 15:51:20 UTC [The Ice Wall #civil-debate]

I just can't anymore
