Well, newsmax joined MSM lol

I also wasn't asked, but why not lol, i5-3570, 32gb ddr3, GTX 275 + 15 fans to keep that sucker from melting down

Call me suicidal, but 380W

its really high quality!

theres 6 120mm fans, 2 200mm fans, and a bunch of tiny ones

It's a platinum rated FSP unit, they make really good PSUs

The fans are nothing compared to the gtx 275

Its an Antec Nine Hundred, but i modded the side panel to fit an extra 200mm fan

Its rated for 216W but uses more

it was the 2nd highest end gpu of nvidias 200 series

the cable management is so bad i refuse to post it

i will clean it up when i upgrade this christmas lol

having 5 drives doesnt help either

i will make it look a lot better and probably ditch some of the fans when i upgrade, i just have thesebecause the 275 puts out so much heat

83 C easily with 60% fan speed

with max fan speed plus a overclock it goes to 88C while being nearly as loud as a leafblower

i think its starting to die too because its being unstable in GTA V even when its not overclocked

so i will be replacing it soon, otherwise i probably would have stuck with it lol

https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811129021 this is the case, but i have the older version with usb 2 (lol) and firewire

I got 2x8gb 1600mhz ddr3 on amazon for 51 dollars? did it go up in the past month?

so not too bad of a jump

bock bock bock

This is way worse than GMO food since this actualy makes your body produce something

You don't become a cow if you eat beef

And you wont get genetically modified by eating GMO food

unlike injecting mRNA which if mistaked or malaicious can change what your body does

exactly!

The stator is the part that *doesn't* move. I'd start there

i got 3 32gb drives for 9.99 so 32 is a good place to start considering how cheap it is

16gb is the minimum i would reccomend

Definitly, it might not even be malicious but just a simple fuckup

But the results could be disastrous

No kidding

What;s that got to do with the elections

why would trump support the vaccine then

warp speed and all that

ok but WHY WOULD TRUMP SUPPORT THIS??? hes not a rino is he

damn, his EO 18th gonna do something about that

lol they still think that russia hacking our elections was real

that would be the ultimate finisher to 2020

I sure hope they don't use Orbital Bombardment to try an stop a riot or something, dang ol space force man

just imagine firing a tear gas canister... from the ISS

or the USSS if trump seizes it under martial law for the space force

saves money on explosive ordinance if you drop it from high enough

The United nations is honestly more of a united abominations, its too corrupt and should be left for sure

"And the U.N. is where our so-called friends
Get to stab us in the back
And we pay 22% of their tab to host our enemies here at home" - Dave Mustaine of Megadeth

Its a no brainer, i got a 240gb kingston a400 for 25 bucks, best upgrade i ever made

Boots in less than 5 seconds even on an 8 year old cpu

Even the most ancient of systems are infinitly more responsive with an ssd

Even if a pc can;t play the latest games, theres a boundless backlog of older games that are still amazing too!

I don't know any computer recycling places near me, i mostly rely on ebay and going to thrift stores in big cities, they have the best stuff

Even if i have to drive for a few hours to get there

i got 16gbs of ddr3 1600 + lots of random BS agp cards and dialup modems for 6 bucks

and a 200gb hard drive that for some bizzare reason had a installation of windows 98 on it, but i just DBAN'd it and used it as an external

What does lots of ram help with on a NAS? disk cache?

i got 32GB on my pc, i would install more buts its maxed out, i use it for hosting while also playing an absurdly modded minecraft server

40Gb networking! Is that optical fibre or does that work over copper now?

Sounds like a beast

Is it Cat8 or something beyond that

Used enterprise stuff?

I was trying to find sas controllers because sas drives are really cheap and a raid array sounded like a fun tech project

wait is this gigabyte not gigabit?!?

I flashed a router with Tomato to use as a wifi adapter since my pc only has ethernet, but thats about as far as i've gone on home networking lol

i do plan to finnaly get wired ethernet throughout the house though, as fibre internet might finnaly be here in a few months

So like QoS, Subnetworks, and way more, all in one box?

Open Networking is proprietary? Nice name for them...

idk i thought QoS was quality of service, and basically just assigns priorities to packets based on how latency-sensitive the data is, i don't see why there couldn't be some sort of open implementation of it

Unless im just mixing it up with something else

Generally the best value is used prebuilt + gpu

but the used market seems... a LOT more expensive right now, then when i checked it a few months ago

You will have to source all the parts yourself, instead of just a pc and gpu

so it can take a lot longer to get everything, and research what is good

The main benefit of prebuilt + gpu is that is is cheap and easy, but if you build it yourself you can make it exactly what you what, but that adds a lot of research to do

But i bought a 1060 3gb a few months ago for 80, and now its going for over 140 on ebay, prices seem pretty inflated

I wouldn;t be a good person to ask on that, i build with whatever i can scrounge together XD

I hope someone else knows a good answer to that

But in general make sure you get a computer that isnt too small/ a half height

otherwise you will serriously limit your options for graphics cards

No problem 😄

The heart of my system is a Optiplex DT 7010 motherboard, holy crap it has so many janky adapters on it to make it work in a normal pc case, but it does work

By research i also mean deal hunting

especially now more than ever, so much stuff is being scalper, out of stock, or just a bad price

its a pretty hard time to find good prices on stuff

A list of parts is a good idea though, just keep an eye out for good deals 🙂

Yeah thats why for first time i always reccomend prebuilt+gpu

either new on both or a mixed of used

depending on budget

But i put in in an Antec Nine Hundred case

DT is the 2nd biggest, but its half height case

MT is the full size case

SFF is the small half height case

and USFF is the barely upgradable at all super small case
