Idc lol I’m not a PC mAsTeR rAcE guy who judges everything on the cables

2020-12-16 02:20:04 UTC

Trust me I have a pre built I can’t judge

2020-12-16 02:20:21 UTC

My cables are also trash

2020-12-16 02:20:47 UTC

I debate going through and reorganizing but am planning to wait until I have a reason

2020-12-16 02:21:15 UTC

i will make it look a lot better and probably ditch some of the fans when i upgrade, i just have thesebecause the 275 puts out so much heat

2020-12-16 02:21:48 UTC

What temps does it get too

2020-12-16 02:22:02 UTC

83 C easily with 60% fan speed

2020-12-16 02:22:10 UTC

Jeez

2020-12-16 02:22:28 UTC

with max fan speed plus a overclock it goes to 88C while being nearly as loud as a leafblower

2020-12-16 02:22:48 UTC

I get anxious when my GPU hits 71 lmao I couldn’t handle that 😂

2020-12-16 02:23:14 UTC

i think its starting to die too because its being unstable in GTA V even when its not overclocked

2020-12-16 02:23:26 UTC

so i will be replacing it soon, otherwise i probably would have stuck with it lol

2020-12-16 02:26:46 UTC

Never have I searched up motel smoking detectors nor search those things . I do aboit a bathroom a month I don't bother searching bathroom things up at this point

2020-12-16 02:26:52 UTC

https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811129021 this is the case, but i have the older version with usb 2 (lol) and firewire

2020-12-16 02:28:19 UTC

That's cool. You might have to browse Craigslist for DDR3 to be affordable. An 8gb stick should be around $40. While I may be cold and uninviting, I certainly won't pass up conversation

2020-12-16 02:28:43 UTC

I got 2x8gb 1600mhz ddr3 on amazon for 51 dollars? did it go up in the past month?

2020-12-16 02:29:33 UTC

its 55.99 now

2020-12-16 02:29:39 UTC

so not too bad of a jump

2020-12-16 02:54:00 UTC

Sorry if this isn’t the right place but what flash drive size and brand would be recommended for being used as a windows/Linux and program installer?

2020-12-16 02:57:05 UTC

i got 3 32gb drives for 9.99 so 32 is a good place to start considering how cheap it is

2020-12-16 02:57:23 UTC

16gb is the minimum i would reccomend

2020-12-16 02:57:57 UTC

Ok thank you

2020-12-16 16:56:26 UTC

New monitors just came in.

2020-12-16 16:56:52 UTC

Excuse the dirty looking floor I have a bunny right next to my setup it’s just kicked up bedding

2020-12-16 18:59:03 UTC

Sorta set up but I’m stupid and need an HDMI splitter to connect the second one 😂

2020-12-16 18:59:16 UTC

So only one functions for now

2020-12-16 18:59:44 UTC

You don't have two HDMI ports on your video card?

2020-12-16 19:00:19 UTC

Apparently not

2020-12-16 19:00:24 UTC

I thought I did

2020-12-16 19:00:34 UTC

Until I tried hooking them up

2020-12-16 19:00:40 UTC

Than I found out I didn’t

2020-12-16 19:00:46 UTC

There are DisplayPort to HDMI cables...

2020-12-16 19:01:13 UTC

That’s true

2020-12-16 19:41:33 UTC

You don't want an HDMI splitter, all that would do is make both monitors display exactly the same thing.

2020-12-16 19:42:38 UTC

Yeah I realized how dumb that was after I said it

2020-12-16 19:43:56 UTC

If you have a display port connection in your GPU, that single port can actually drive four monitors if you have a splitter.

2020-12-16 19:45:24 UTC

Display port is different then HDMI, display port actually embeds multiple video streams in a single connection to allow higher resolution, higher refresh rate, and other features.

2020-12-16 19:45:31 UTC

Would having one plugged into the GPU HDMI and one plugged into the display port with a display port to hdmi cable do the same as doing a display port splitter

2020-12-16 19:46:18 UTC

Yes and cheaper, display port splitters are expensive while a display port to HDMI cord is fairly cheap as long as you only need a short cable.

2020-12-16 19:46:42 UTC

Yeah I need no more than 3-4 feet

2020-12-16 19:47:23 UTC

Appreciate the help. Thank you very much. Complete monitor noob if you couldn’t tell lol
