What states use ballots like that? My county in MN used what looked like old dot matrix paper from the 90s, had the holes on the sides that are on a perforated strips, about 11 inch wide sheet
^^^
Not much good at it myself, but I do enjoy it
*can be* more efficient. Modern autos with 9 10 speeds keep the engine in efficient range more effectively I've been told
The other argument I've heard is the quicker shift times from autos in racing scenes, but that's only a very small percentage of cars made that fall into that circumstance
I do see what you're saying there mike, and I do agree. The extra shifting wears out the clutches, springs, valves, etc quicker. But what would be considered a better outcome, an engine that lives longer because its in ideal range more often but a tranny that wears quicker, or vice versa?
@mikeflarkin You make a fair case there. I do a lot of city driving and commuting with traffic, so a manual isn't ideal for me either way. That's not to say that it couldn't be done, but I wouldn't want to be the one to do it lol
In modern times I think most countries are going auto, developed auto markets at east
How do you guys like the 64 Falcon, because frankly I think it's one of the most underappreciated cars from the era
So that payment is basically a tax I take it? Based off your income?
Take it easy Smoky
Oh Canada...
That means a large percent of your income is taken then, yeah? Either that or you're making mad money
I believe I ended up paying something like 18% last year for taxes. I know it's not apples to apples but sounds a lot lower than what you are
Oh nuts, I'm talking normal taxes
my mistake
As for healthcare I can't speak much. I don't have actual health coverage, just an amount that is banked for dental and eye care, and that bank covers 80% or so of the cost of services
So is that private coverage on top of the normal one? or does it work with the government healthcare
I'm not familiar with Canadian system, forgive me
Sounds similar to the ObamaCare system. If you're not signed up for it and don't have your own insurance you pay a yearly "fine". At least that's how it was explained to me by my folks
Do you know how it is different on small businesses as opposed to large companies? Nitrus
As far as how much they are liable for
I don't see an argument, he's just talking about sus events that are all "unconnected"
I made a slow cooker scalloped potato dish for thanksgiving and I'm gonna do it again for christmas
Easy as soup, like most slow cooker dishes
I'm not a woman, but I've been taught the same thing and tend to see the same thing Weeve was saying. Now that's not the case for all women of course, but I believe that is the biological average. Fat tends to build on the hips, tush, calves, arms, and breasts more than on the belly
And I'm not questioning your statements or experiences at all, but what do you consider to be "straight to the belly"? On my girlfriend in particular during lockdown, she has gained a bit of a belly, but much more so she has gained weight in the hips, tush, and calves
(We both have put on weight and have a dialogue about it, I'm not fat shaming or any such thing)
Might I ask, do those other areas in question?
Huh, I can't say I've seen much of that honestly
Although so much of that stuff has to do with genetics, body type, etc
Well true, but there's an excess of fat on the entire body in a case like that
In my unprofessional opinion, I think it depends on how much weight we are talking about. For my girlfriend's case, she was a bit on the thinner side of healthy before lockdown, and now on the heavier end of healthy. But I have a friend who is already quite overweight and all of her weight immediately goes to her boobs and nowhere else. To the point of I can tell when she is putting on weight or losing it because she is at the shops again getting refitted
In your case, it sounds like you are much like my gf was, but instead of spreading the fat, it just concentrates on your belly
You may be onto something toaster lol
Ultimately, that is the biological response for the "lizard brain" chunk of the male mind
"She looks like a very viable mother. I want to test that theory"
The instincts buried deep down
I know lol, it's just a funny phrase that sometimes feels too accurate. The simplest of desires, sex, food, and heat
Looks like Chair and Eminem have something to say about your messages
Frankly I love womens winter outfits
My girlfriend has said it the same way, although it depends heavily on the woman in question just as it does men
From what I've read and been told, men have more passing thoughts about sex, but not as many deep ones, where wome have more deep thoughts but less often
Suprise! you get an extra toe bone today!
Maybe a third femur tomorrow
Sometimes it feels like I got an extra spine segment overnight with how stiff I am in the AM
I think it might be a sign on onsetting diabetes if you don't get them, but I heard that from one person years ago
probably way false
They do, age decreases blood circulation and pressure, as does diet. Both of those situations also affect male genitalia in other ways with the hormones too though
So its a double whammy if you will
Indeed
Extra warmth means more blood flow in general, looser clothes means less restriction too
I like both, although I like winter more for the lack of people outside and how serene it is with the animals hibernating
So I'm happy with anywhere in the midwest of us or similar section of canada
MN with all its lakes means a lot of bridges over streams, channels, and such, and those always Ice up first so theres signs
So little thermal mass means it cools quicker
and it's usually a narrowed section of road too, for cost savings, so it's already a more dangerous section then the rest
all in all, bridges are bad juju
I'm driving a fwd minivan for the time being, got winters on the front and all seasons on the back (all the shop had at the moment and mine were bald)
so I putt around with 200 lbs of sand and salt bags in the back to keep it planted
Oh absolutely
even in the summer, you hydroplane on anything more than a misting at highway speeds
My traction control was kicking in when I was accelerating anything more than gentle from a stop, so I bit the bullet and got em done that afternoon. We had snow coming down for a couple weeks right after that so I really didnt want to risk shopping around and losing these two i found
two winter tires i mean
I planned on doing that but also consider the likelihood that this van dies this winter anyways
Or at the very least dies before next winter. I'll burn up these tires next summer just because of my lack of confidence it'll last another year
I'm looking into an awd ford taurus next
cheap parts, reliable everything, and plenty of police bull bars as cheap deer catchers
Oh absolutely
For all the city driving I was talking about with mike before, I spend a lot of time driving country roads and woods roads come hunting season and ice fishing, know exactly what you mean
Been meaning to look into whether my insurance has an animal addition to the policy, but my current wheels aren't evem worth full coverage lol
Or even if I got a newer taurus like I'm looking at. Ballpark 7k I'm looking at spending so Full coverage, hail, and animal hit protection(if they have it) are what I'm looking at
And uninsured motorist coverage. As politically and racially charged as it may sound, there are a lot of uninsured/unlicensed Somali drivers I've heard horror stories about in MN
We have a very large number of Somalis here because of the Lutheran churches I believe. Coming in as refugees with the church's assistance though the process
And it's dirt easy to do, just buy a cheap car for cash, and drive it till you hit something. Either drive away or abandon the car and run away if you can't
My old man is a tow truck dispatcher, so that's not an uncommon story to him
Someone hits a car, stoplight, street sign, you name it. Bystander just say, "Yeah, he/she just got out, grabbed their bag/kid/whatever from the backseat and started walking that way"
The feminist haircut tends to be a real short cut, shaved sides. Either that or just an even 2-3 inches all over the head, like they shaved it and let it grow for too long to look good, but not long enough to be made into a nice style yet
Nothing against either style, that's just what I've seen from the protests and sign holders here in the Minneapolis suburbs
That's also a semi-common occurrence. Same story but the car comes back on the hot list
Old minivans, old hondas/toyotas, old pickups
basically anything that theres enough of everywhere so as to not catch anyone's eyes
Oh jeez
I frankly want to send my van off a jump or something at the end of it's life, but the end of it's life is when it doesn't run anymore or isn't financially logical to make run. So no ramps for me
Are you referring to a turn signal? or something else? I just haven't heard the term before, sorry
Ohh I see now
Side marker is what I would call that
And I have heard it now that I see what you mean
The other option of course is run it without coolant and brick the gas pedal, or maybe put a hole in the oil filter and do the same
Tranny is dead, engine already has 210k on it, let it die already
