It snows upwards here i swear
Oooh driving down the highway and watching the snow swirl on the road
Thats my favorite
Its like watching a fire
But snow
i went on a road trip couple years ago and i drove through a blizzard
it was both mesmerizing and terrifying at the same time
So scary
driving into the snow looks cool through the winshield, but its scary driving cause it makes me sleepy
We got sudden weather change signs here that frigging mean it
Goin up a mountain its all sunshine and lollipops
Then its hail and fog on a 12% grade goin down switchback
MN with all its lakes means a lot of bridges over streams, channels, and such, and those always Ice up first so theres signs
Yes be very careful on any suspended roadway
They get a lot colder than the rest of the road
So little thermal mass means it cools quicker
Very dangerous
Yeah it heats up fast to and ices over when it cools again
and it's usually a narrowed section of road too, for cost savings, so it's already a more dangerous section then the rest
Winter driving ain't no joke
Drive well below the speed limit lol
I'm driving a fwd minivan for the time being, got winters on the front and all seasons on the back (all the shop had at the moment and mine were bald)
Better than bald man
so I putt around with 200 lbs of sand and salt bags in the back to keep it planted
You dont want bald tires in the winter you will probably kill someone sliding into them
Oh absolutely
even in the summer, you hydroplane on anything more than a misting at highway speeds
Hydroplaning is so scary
Slush is very very dangerous too
Avoid slush
My traction control was kicking in when I was accelerating anything more than gentle from a stop, so I bit the bullet and got em done that afternoon. We had snow coming down for a couple weeks right after that so I really didnt want to risk shopping around and losing these two i found
two winter tires i mean
Yeah its always worth it to just get em on
As many as you can at least lol
man i remember one of the winters here the roads were nothing but ice rinks
I got myself a set of rims from a wrecker and pit my winters on em so I dont have to pay for the switch
literally skating with your car
Any kind of acceleration is a slip probably lol
I planned on doing that but also consider the likelihood that this van dies this winter anyways
Don't drive rear wheel drive in the winter if you can avoid it
