Meh, one of my main problems with c++ is that I feel like I spend more time setting up the project and telling the complier were everything is than I do coding. But maybe that is just visual studio being dumb.

I meant the actual set up. Once I've told visual studios that yes, I am not lying, there is C++ code there, I have not problem.

Then again, I haven't done much c++ work in visual studios that wasn't in vs10. It was 10 in college and then this code base at work is stuck with 3rd party stuff that only complies in 10.

Don't exactly like digging through the project settings to manually set the folder where the referenced code lives. Which then needs to be manually changed should you need to move it's physical location

@EmeseGab if you are still in school, idk start with that if your school has any kind of news or media club or organization. Or at least seems willing to make one. So then you can start doing school and local news. Then start branching out from there.

Also, if you local level of government has meetings which are open to the public, go to them and just start taking notes, see if you hear anything interesting.

It's always been much more, it's just the articles gave you a window. But like I said, start locally. Perhaps look at schooling for it but if you don't want to do that then just do your own thing and pitch the stories to local news outlets. Do that for a year or two, keeping in mind you will probably get rejected a lot of the time but those stories that due, idk, trying putting them up on a blog, or run them past online message boards and friends and family with an interest in ensuring your integrity.
