I would like to point out a something which too MANY seem to be missing: Comparing apples unfairly to oranges: each flu season KILLs/seriously injures that many people DESPITE a vaccine. The stats we see everywhere about previous flu seasons are DESPITE annual vaccination of many of the population. The Covid19 flu is being counted vaccine free, and overcounting deaths! If the seasonal flu was allowed to run wild, it (vaccine free) would be killing MANY more each year!
Add that to your arsenal.
except the flu vaccine doesn't really work due to the antigenic drift which causes new strains of influenza to be unprotected.
even if the strains did match, the flu vaccination has proven to be ineffective on elderly people which account for 90% of deaths.

2. Influenza is actually more dangerous for younger ppl/children than for older folks. Cov19 is different in that its harder on the elderly.

4. Flu Season annual stats are usually counted Nov-April. As in '2019/2020 Flu Season'... and then the counter resets to zero and counts the '2020/2021 flu season'. PLEASE explain to me why we are still counting in July? This is also Apples to Oranges. If you want to compare then use the same methods, and reset the counter.

The numbers align correctly when comparing the chart to the other chart
deaths per million people is kind of misleading
cause higher population doesn't necessarily translate to more cases depending on what actions are taken
a better comparison would probably be death rates

It's unfair to average all the states to be honest
Lax restrictions are also not really the reason why death rates are lower
but it does show which states handled the crisis better
in general

So, the friend of a relative of mine had broken her foot the other day and went up for a checkup for it at her clinic and all she got were Xrays of their broken foot but the discharge papers she received are saying that she was tested for Covid, despite not being tested at all
