2018-11-06 07:44:17 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

It is over research I did for an independent grant earlier this year. I made a few new calixarenes so I am talking about what I did, the structures and also applications I tested. @Dino if you were wondering at all.

2018-11-06 07:45:21 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Yes it is an odd feeling when it happens. @VanishedA97

2018-11-06 07:46:07 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

And there is no clear answer to fix it with everyone being happy. There never is a perfect way.

2018-11-06 07:46:36 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Someone is bound to be cross with whatever you try to push in any society.

2018-11-06 07:47:21 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Aye ruger you hear about that one theory that Jesus might have been a mushroom?

2018-11-06 07:50:14 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Celibacy will eventually bring sins out of any old man. Wish priests targeted nuns instead of the alter boys though.

2018-11-06 07:50:58 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Ruger you read any books by Nietzsche?

2018-11-06 07:53:06 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Why not? His main thing is finding power in your self and individualism. Also to rise above nihilism since it makes people weak. I think you might find Nietzsche interesting, Ruger.

2018-11-06 07:53:57 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Exactly. Determinism does that too.

2018-11-06 07:55:12 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Yes. Thank you glad you know that. He hated nationalists.

2018-11-06 07:56:32 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I read him a lot a long while ago back in college. Helped with how I worked and helped me push myself to be productive and more happy with my life.

2018-11-06 07:58:09 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Reading him made me less depressed too. I also self administered mushrooms to help myself with the depression back then also. Still do once a year.

2018-11-06 07:59:13 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Anyone subscribed to an actual scientific research journal?

2018-11-06 07:59:29 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Hello how are you? @Nara

2018-11-06 07:59:41 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Glad to hear it.

2018-11-06 07:59:56 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

To get hit or to be picked up? @Nara

2018-11-06 08:00:57 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Peer review is important. Collective thought can be useful if under the right parameters @PAS CANADIEN

2018-11-06 08:02:04 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Go be biologically social @Nara talk directly to the closest warm body.

2018-11-06 08:02:41 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Strike up a conversation about something cool you know a lot about. It would only make your day better. @Nara

2018-11-06 08:02:50 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

And the other person.

2018-11-06 08:04:24 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

But. Electronic simulations on computers can keep an exact definition and measurement of a kilogram. Why are we using metal?

2018-11-06 08:06:50 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

we can have a computer take the exact mass of the kilogram and then we can use pressure sensors and a pushing piston to push the exact force of a kilogram everytime. Keeping the measurement the same forever.

2018-11-06 08:07:10 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

And so it stays standardized.

2018-11-06 08:08:18 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

It was brought up. @holy heccaroni

2018-11-06 08:09:11 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Well it would keep it the same. @Ruger and no weird "oh the standardized mass of the kilogram is changing" nonsense.

2018-11-06 08:09:51 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Sorry for @ing you if that was annoying I apologize

2018-11-06 08:11:02 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

The speed of light changes on the median it goes through. So technically that isn't the exact speed of light.

2018-11-06 08:11:07 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

That is true.

2018-11-06 08:11:38 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Oh ye.

2018-11-06 08:12:18 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Most people don't know the speed of light isn't technically constant.

2018-11-06 08:13:24 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Out of the blue idea but I think physics should be a required class.

2018-11-06 08:13:54 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I don't know actually about the lithium thing.

2018-11-06 08:14:23 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Like algebra intro physics?

2018-11-06 08:15:09 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

In America where I live now it isn't required in most state's public school systems.

2018-11-06 08:15:50 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I'll look for an article or something about the lithium. That's fascinating thanks.

2018-11-06 08:15:59 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

That's wonderful

2018-11-06 08:21:27 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/1999/02/physicists-slow-speed-of-light/ I found an article about it I think you were talking about this. @Ruger

2018-11-06 08:21:50 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

It was a laser sent through a beam of hot energized sodium atoms.

2018-11-06 08:22:39 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Off topic but I like the German names for elements better than the English ones.

2018-11-06 08:23:29 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Like potassium is kalium. Which sounds a lot better. Also makes sense with potassium being represented by "K"

2018-11-06 08:24:32 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

You think humans will evolve to run faster if we tried to push that trait forward? Maybe we could actually get up to 38mph eventually.

2018-11-06 08:24:53 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

So in that environment we would travel as fast as light.

2018-11-06 08:25:19 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Or Just seleactive traits over a long time.

2018-11-06 08:25:54 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Yes.

2018-11-06 08:26:43 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

So how about we just inbreed all of native kenya? Then they will just get faster and faster. Haha

2018-11-06 08:27:57 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Yeah... But hey mental and genetic diseases as a trade off for running really fast? Call me crazy but that sounds like a good pay off. @coattailsandbowties

2018-11-06 08:28:12 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Haha yes. Probably

2018-11-06 08:28:34 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

People's Watches too.

2018-11-06 08:28:40 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

All gone.

2018-11-06 08:29:12 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

They would be more expensive Than a tesla and more economical.

2018-11-06 08:30:08 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

In order to prevent fried chicke From disappearing they just end up eating the raw live chickens.

2018-11-06 08:31:10 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Hey I remember there being a two headed chicken that never laid eggs on my late grandfather's farm as a kid.

2018-11-06 08:31:58 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

They both pecked seed at the same time and I thought it was scary as a child.

2018-11-06 08:32:52 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Can we get a picture of a 3 headed ruger?

2018-11-06 08:33:55 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Chikens need as many as they can get. They are stupid and maube with enough heads they could act at least like a stupid dog.

2018-11-06 08:34:29 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Wonder what the link is between intelligence and the different dog breeds. ๐Ÿค”

2018-11-06 08:34:48 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Yes.

2018-11-06 08:35:30 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

German Shepards are usually really intelligent.

2018-11-06 08:35:41 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I like them all too dino.

2018-11-06 08:35:56 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

But some are just more special than others. Haha.

2018-11-06 08:36:09 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

What a good boy/girl.

2018-11-06 08:36:35 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

***What a good girl.***

2018-11-06 08:37:21 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Consider my dog. Very old wise hound.

2018-11-06 08:38:36 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

It that really? Good quality picture. @Dr. Graphix

2018-11-06 08:39:10 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Composition wise I mean. Not like definition. Better def than most though.

2018-11-06 08:39:40 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I like the colors on that cat. @Shakup

2018-11-06 08:39:50 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Very pretty.

2018-11-06 08:41:24 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

@coattailsandbowties go read my things in science-tech-futurism. I will Keep pestering you till you tell me what you think.

2018-11-06 08:42:28 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

It isn't that complicated at all promise. Quick read over please. I am impatient. @coattailsandbowties which is a bad trait for my job.

2018-11-06 08:42:58 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Yes. And dog abuse is proof there is an objective evil. Sadly.

2018-11-06 08:44:41 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

My dog is 11 now but I adopted him shortly after moving here to America. I got him as a puppy. He was abused and almost drowned by the previous owners. Took me a while to get him used to baths and loud noises.

2018-11-06 08:45:04 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Energy drinks are bad I agree. @Ruger

2018-11-06 08:46:33 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I encourage people to look into a tea called Guayusa. It has higher caffeine than coffee on average. It also has theobromine and lots of the healthy compounds found in green tea.

2018-11-06 08:47:07 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Guayusa isn't bitter. Normally doesn't need sweetener at all.

2018-11-06 08:47:24 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I always drink my tea without honey.

2018-11-06 08:48:15 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I don't like my tea sweet. I like the leaf taste too by itself. @Deleted User

2018-11-06 08:48:45 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Green Tea is more bitter when cooler than when hot or warm so I never let it cool down.

2018-11-06 08:49:24 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

My favorite tea is oolong tea.

2018-11-06 08:49:38 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

You had raccoons?

2018-11-06 08:50:35 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

They take your stuff often? Never trusted things wearing burgler masks. @PAS CANADIEN

2018-11-06 08:50:45 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Especially cute things wearing masks.

2018-11-06 08:51:32 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I wouldn't even use my fridge if it had a mask. Masks are no good.

2018-11-06 08:52:03 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Haha oh well that sounds nice but a little odd of a pet in my opinion .

2018-11-06 08:52:31 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

If I ever got an exotic pet I would like to get a fennec fox.

2018-11-06 08:54:19 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Yes that is a problem but you can tame them to a reasonable behavior I believe.

2018-11-06 08:55:16 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I used to have a kitten named Charlie but my wife was terribly allergic and got pneumonia so we had to give him to a friend.

2018-11-06 08:55:32 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

@Deleted User have fun. Learn something cool.

2018-11-06 08:56:26 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Cats can go anywhere they damn well please sir. @PAS CANADIEN

Also have some pictures of fennec foxes.

2018-11-06 08:57:47 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Ruger out door cats are the reason for the giant stray cat populations.

2018-11-06 08:58:27 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Was it? Was it really a mistake torch?

2018-11-06 08:58:54 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Almost shitting yourself is better than actually shitting yourself if you ask me.

2018-11-06 08:59:33 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

That doesn't work for us @faifleykru

2018-11-06 08:59:41 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

No reason to @everyone

2018-11-06 09:00:48 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

I rarely ever eat from tins.

2018-11-06 09:01:11 UTC [Scale brigade #general]

Last soup that was canned I had was creamy mushroom soup I think.
