My mom just called. Our oldest dog, Tazz, passed away this afternoon. He was 16 which is pretty old for a Yorkie. Apparently my little sister got home and found him in the pool. We think his legs might have given out and he fell in. After the day I've had this just puts the cherry on top of everything.

My dad is taking it hard, he basically locked himself in the garage and hasn't said a word to anyone since he came home. My sister is a bit traumatised and mom is trying to keep it together for everyone. We were mentally preparing for his passing but we thought old age would be the cause

I understand where their coming from , I mean for a lot of streamers their shows are their bread and butter and then seeing a cartoon take over is just a jab on the stomach. Sure a lot of them are overreacting, but imagine if robots took over any other job like construction or the entertainment business entirely. People would also be pissed because essentially they are losing their main stream of income.

Those robots are definitely helpful with precision works, for entertainment there should always be a human factor, I did a whole study for a research paper on this last year and humans, especially when it comes to entertainment and communication professions still need human elements involved or in many cases the person without human contact tends to develop psychological issues suck as disassociation. I'm all for robots and shit, just don't replace everything with it.

And for the streamers, I have a friend who actually streams on cb. This was the only option for her, she works 2 jobs and still studies, but still couldn't make ends meet in a month so she started streaming as a way to make sure everything gets paid. She's not as upset about the whole melody thing as the rest are, people still watch her shows and she still gets new people. Its not affecting her because she has loyal fans and a big following so she sees no problem with that. The streamers complaining are usually the ones who can't keep a constant following and tends to jump around content wise

To each their own is my stand on the whole thing, people shouldn't get extremely butt hurt over something so stupid

So I need your opinions. I currently have developmental psychology as a module in uni. We're currently on serial killers like Ted Bundy. According to my lecturer he became a serial killer due to the nature vs nurture factor. I beg to differ. I believe most serial killers have certain characteristics since birth, but according to her its how you raise them that determines their likelihood of developing serial killer tendencies.

Thoughts on this?

I mean, if you take the fact that some people experience the need to squeeze when they see a puppy or kitten and studies did show that its a survival response since our brain believes they won't survive in the wild, its best to eliminate them. This just strengthens the nature belief that some people can't differentiate this from animals and people and eliminates the ones they deem unlikely to survive. Its not that he went entirely mental, he just struggled to stop these urges.
