Adaptations are not random. Mutations are . When a mutation has an advantage it is an adaptation. Think of it like a die roll but the roll is random (mutations) and permanent. So bad rolls basically never repeat except randomly. Out of this noise you occasionally get crit. That does not repeat randomly because it confers advantage.
Special note;
By advantage we mean an advantage for the mutation. *that does not mean an advantage for the organism or the species.*

OK. But it's just that adaptations are not random, nor a grab bag. In evolutionary biology it's called 'drive'. The degree to which they are favorable adaptations that is.

Is the part I was referring too about adaptation and randomness. That lack of randomness is what we call drive. Also I was kinda thinking about a 100,000 sided die not a D6. Hence the long periods it takes to roll a crit.
Oh and a climate variable wouldn't really give you the results you suggest. Genes drive for the gene's success the organism is just a phenotype. They can *accidentally* do so like a gene that creates more viable gametes. At the level of gene as selector Darwin is correct. It's not rural. You're looking at optimums not medians. I live in a city not the country. A city where it is common to see people carry buying gas in the morning on the way to work. A glock is acceptable. Not being polite or failing to clean the streets is unacceptable.
NO I mean 70% of Ca being rural is meaningless. When demographers talk about urban vs. rural the numbers are skewed. The population of LA is 4M so that weighs as 8 500K cities in America. If you go to those cities we don't live the same life.
So, by the numbers when they say "urban people on average" that average treats Des Moines, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Columbus as somewhat less than NY...

Yeah the problem with internet is that it is too easy. Like Tweeting your representative is 1/10th of an Email. An Email is 1/10th of a physical letter. So you can have 100x the effect by actually writing and sending something much less physically talking to someone.
Joining your local CoC will maximize your political power more than any social media can.
Even outside of that. The CoC has actual impact on local decisions to a degree no internet politics could hope for. So the politicians have to apy attention to them.

Short of a full term of service in the Airforce a 4-year degree is the fastest way to become a professional pilot. You can be a trainer on a 2-year but the airlines will not hire you.
