I havenโt done much research, but it sounds like Trump is pulling a lot of big moves to get his voters, especially the less educated of them, to vote for him again and vote in November for the GOP candidates. Letโs be honest, us Americans like the sound of higher wages for Americans(a championed hope for the trade war), and heโs preying on that to sway those who donโt have time to research.
I agree that he does like to create then solve problems, too. Controversy is his schtick
As high as he can before it starts to fade from the news
True, that does seem to be his gamble. Then again, he knows things we donโt. But he doesnโt care about the country (few politicians actually do), he cares about his power and fame, and keeping it.
Perhaps he does. But a country is such an abstract thing. Was Caesar loyal to Rome, or his friends and army?
True, and observant
No, youโre probably right. Iโm just really cynical
Yeah, he does seem to be going against his own party sometimes, but heโs making the news
What black woman? I missed that story...
Yeah, now that you mention it, thatโs about right
Heโs your friendly neighborhood president
What kind of black magic did they use to do that ...
I donโt mean to change the subject too hard, but can I ask about the steel and aluminum tariffs? I understand that China is by far the biggest producer of those metals, and America is one of the biggest consumers. So why should we be concerned about protecting our steel/aluminum industries? I could see small tariffs on finished products, like foreign cars, computers, and electronics, which America makes a lot of. But our steel/aluminum companies can never hope to outstrip China in the long run, so why not encourage a transition from refining to manufacturing, domestically, and let China stay industrial and produce the materials which we can make more expensive, better stuff out of. China gets a customer, and we get cheap materials as we progress into our information economy. It seems a win/win, rather than the tariffs now where nobodyโs really winning.
Thanks inquisitor Floki for the answer to my question. Makes a lot more sense now.
No mention that the frickin Navyโs trying so hard to recruit that they want Gamers

The US army has two jobs: point out where the artillery, missiles, and air strikes need to target, then walk in afterwards and confirm the kills

I just made a post asking for civil discussion on r/BlackLivesMatter, to learn more about the community and maybe clear a few things up. Any words of advice, facts I should be aware of or should research, or topics you think I should discuss?
Well, Iโm going to try anyways. Theyโre people, after all. No matter how much we might disagree, I hope to at least learn something, and I hope they might learn something to.
It might be a hopeless venture, but I plan on trying anyways. Nothing will ever change if people with different opinions never talk to each other.
Well, I got banned from r/BlackLivesMatter
