Yeah man.
It's a joke.
It's not supposed to be the next bladerunner.
Anyone else find it funny that just a few months ago we had an AI that was going on racist tirades on twitter, and now we have supposed fully functional robot citizens in saudi arabia?
🤔
I went to sleep.
No, I did only sleep for like 5 hours lol.
Yeah, I'm sure the racist speech program will come in handy.
yo
I hate how sometimes I'm on leftist servers and the people in them will be like "yeah? Well you ever stop and consider *why* you think racist jokes are funny?" Implying that because I think something is funny I must be whatever ideology the joke represents.
I doubt tay was a conscious AI.
lol
I'm white, I'm a horrible racist no matter what I do.
Anyone else here actually like Charles Manson?
styxhexenhammer666 did a great video on the history of the tate labianca murders.
What do you even think he did?
The hatred for Charles Manson is unbelievable.
Just listen to styxhexenhammer666 talk a bit about the misconceptions of Charles Manson.
Honestly, watching people get upset over Manson is just sad. He's the generational boogyman which each generation finds as it's symbol of evil. Yet no one really knows about the circumstances surrounding the incident, they just know "he was a hippy cult leader!" "Helter Skelter!" "He has a swastica in his forehead!" "He's a mass murderer!"
Honestly, it's painful every time I listen to people who basically buy into a cultural attitude towards this poor guy who's been scapegoated all his life.
Charles Manson?
Charles Manson was just petty thief who forged some checks, stole some cars, pimped women, and dealt drugs. He got out of prison in the height of the free love era and found some disenfranchised youth to start a co-op with on a ranch. He supposedly killed a bunch of people using his brainwashed followers. However, the accounts surrounding the murders were vague and unclear, and there's speculation that the altercation was actually over drugs, and Manson's own defense attorney actually went out to a party with the prosecutor vinscent buliosci after the prosecution.
Sigh
He was also a musician who the beach boys stole like 2 or 3 songs from.
Only the most satanic of satans.
That's another thing that bothers me though too, is the demonization of people with mental health issues. If Manson was really a murderer, let's be honest, people who murder other people aren't "normal" by the standards of what society considers normal. I really don't like how people demonize people as if they weren't just biological organisms, and they were some sort of physical manifestation of "evil" which is just a nonsense fantasy word used to describe whatever the collective considers undesirable. I think murder is wrong, but I don't look at murderers as if they were bad people, because they have something in their brain which makes them the way they are, and we have something in our brains which makes us the way we are which is why we don't murder anyone. At least, I hope no one here murders people.
But you have to admit that there's something fundamentally different in their brains from our brains which determines each of our disparate actions.
Pretty much, Dan.
Except, I think it's more complicated than that. Everyone does have a different brain which effects their behavior in different ways.
Even if you wanted to add the concept of free will into it, you would have to admit that some people would be more inclined to choose different behaviors than we are inclined to include disparate ones.
That's not how the united states prison system words though.
Look at a prison system like Norway's they have a system of rehabilitation, they treat prisoners with dignity and comfort, and they have a much lower recidivism rate. The united states, we basically create convicts and hardened criminals in our prison system. Listen to this one interview with a former NYPD police officer who went to prison and had his entire perspective of the prison system changed. Listen to musicians like Peter Steele talk about how prison made him a better criminal. There's evidence just in our statistics in our country, we have a much higher recidivism rate, because we treat our prisons like basically factory farms.
It's also a form of legalized slave labor, the US prison system.
That's fine. You said that prison is to fix people's brains, my objection is that that's demonstrably wrong in the US prison system.
Idk, it's annoying.
I honestly wish I could move to a Scandinavian country, because I think America is shit.
I'm so tired of living here.
Yeah! Trust us, we're Comcast, you have our word 😉
Gotchya, Dan 😉
that is me on the left yes
