If you want something from the store that is decent the howa1500 with the bull barrel option that comes with a scope is decent

I used it for deer and elk hunting and would definitely apply it to people also

Howa is a good rifle. The model 1500 is still used by foreign forces for sniper rifles

I'm trying to get matching long and short guns for each

I shoot what is ubiquitous 223/556, 308/762 9mm

Excluding 556 that's really only for ammo availability and accoutrements

I got a 545 ak and a shit tonne of ammo just because of ballistics

But it's mostly just going to be a DA rifle

300 blk is getting popular enough that i also have an upper for my ar to swap between 223 and 300 blk

But honestly getting sites, peqs, mags, ammo, etc
