basically the idea was bc i have somewhat experience in media we were going to take advantage of the bernie craze to promote marxist ideas

but the longer i stayed on these conferences

the more i realized it was hopeless with these dudes

one of my major complaints when we were hashing out a plan was that they had no understanding of a target audience for these video productions we were gonna make

i mean the plan was to take advantage of the hype over bernie

and they wanted these videos to be 30+ minutes long

bernie bros are NOT gonna watch an hour long video on marxism

we wanted to take advantage of the fact that he called himself a socialist to educate his supporters on socialism

the point of the project was that a certain percentage of his supporters were likely to be radicalized now that the term had be de-demonized

nobody expected 100% of bernie supporters to join the CPUSA

what we expected was to make short videos explaining the contradictions of capitalism and the incompatibility between democracy and capitalism, and target them towards people who were already inclined to call themselves "Democratic socialists"

during election season especially this could have been very successful had the party known how to organize

it seems to me the far left is just plainly logical

and if somebody is open to logical reasoning they'll be open to socialism
