That's an interesting thought.
depressed anxious commie elementary school teacher in beijing
long live daddy mao
In bejing?
ye
Well, you were despensable in your role then.
lmao damn so you're familiar with how it works here
yeah they'll gladly fire me and hire some 18 year old with a fresh passport and no experience
Yhea I know a thing or two about china.
Work conditions are pretty similar to that of early industrial age workplaces.
in what sense
As in, there is no welfare at all, your boss practically owns you, you are paid only to survive, you have to work rediculous hours, if you get hurt on the job you will be fired and left on the streets to rot, and there are a million other people who are lined up who will take your job in an instant if given an opportunity.
oh i mean yeah but not necessarily for us laowai
for born-and-raised chinese of course
but laowai (foreigners) are paid quite well, have decent hours (usually)
@rail5 you’re in China?
and yet we're easily replaced by people who come here to work illegally
How are you communicating
yeah i live in beijing
@rail5 Ironic isn't it? If mao was here, he would probably puke his guts up at what china has become.
i'm not myself a maoist but i have maoist friends here who would 100% agree with that
I’m going to work at a diner
@rail5 Yhea, wasn't the goal to end this oppression? Not to accelerate it?
deng xiaoping "we're building socialism with chinese characteristics"
or the english translation
"capitalism"
and yeah exactly
also hell yeah roberto join the working classes in our futile struggle for survival
I’m going to be one of a few actual workers of the world in this chat
oh you're in the IWW?
Maoism made the population despensible due to it's bloated and unsustainable size, and post maoism just made the state into a giant capitalist controlled one, which oppresses it's workers just like that of the industrial revolution.
No
I will join once I get a job
hell yeah boy
I don’t think the unemployed will be accepted
@Deleted User Is walmart in bolivia?
I don’t live there
I’m in Michigan
workers unemployed and employed alike are allowed to join the IWW but you might struggle paying dues
