The legal binding argument is just a convenient way to ignore the will of the people anyway. It's like basically saying "yes more than half of you want something but theres no law for it so were going to argue for the minority instead".

The EU is already becoming authoritarian, has everyone forgotten that article 13 was voted in despite the vast protests from the public and businesses in all the countries involved. China's system wasn't built in a day, give it time the EU is doing a fine job of heading that way.

At this point all we can do is trust that the prime minister will do what he can to support the will of the people. It's just a sad state of democracy that it has come to this. Even in my local electorate we voted overwhelmingly to leave the EU yet the MP here is a remainer and pushes that in parliament.

Does anyone have any more information on these NHS shipments that have been impounded by France?

Two incidents from what I've been able to learn so far, first was hand sanitiser and second was 130,000 masks for NHS

But other than a vague UK response that it was quickly dealt with, I haven't been able to find out what is being done to stop it happening again.

Euroweekly too so seems to be potentially legit, I want to know what the UK is going to do to ensure this wont happen again.

I'd also like to know if the masks were purchased from France, or from another country heading through France and then impounded
