since 485MPs put it into law through parliament

2019-09-26 09:44:35 UTC

it should have been said that to repeal the law it would need the same number of MPs to concent

2019-09-26 09:47:37 UTC

lol... hes only elected by 0.2% of the population... so dont give him the election he wants... sound logic there

2019-09-26 09:51:03 UTC

>elected by 0,2 % of the population

2019-09-26 09:51:10 UTC

'es right you know

2019-09-26 09:51:33 UTC

Only elect people and do things which more than 50 % of people voted for

2019-09-26 09:52:05 UTC

Like 51,9 % for example <:thinkgon:560211224923734026>

2019-09-26 09:52:39 UTC

scroll up and read the other tweet

2019-09-26 09:52:43 UTC

tbh

2019-09-26 09:53:56 UTC

the incorrect tweet that incorrectly says its not law?

2019-09-26 10:07:35 UTC

The ref was not legally binding. The resulting vote in Parliament to trigger article 50 was

2019-09-26 10:08:23 UTC

So yes

2019-09-26 10:08:27 UTC

Leaving the EU is law

2019-09-26 10:09:42 UTC

The legal binding argument is just a convenient way to ignore the will of the people anyway. It's like basically saying "yes more than half of you want something but theres no law for it so were going to argue for the minority instead".

2019-09-26 10:10:22 UTC

It's a valid position to have ninja

2019-09-26 10:10:40 UTC

If you do not believe people are allowed to decide what happens for the country

2019-09-26 10:11:08 UTC

If your preferred type of government is more authoritarian, you can make it fit with your worldview

2019-09-26 10:11:39 UTC

However if that is what is wanted, China is always an option.

2019-09-26 10:11:44 UTC

Not the UK

2019-09-26 10:15:36 UTC

The EU is already becoming authoritarian, has everyone forgotten that article 13 was voted in despite the vast protests from the public and businesses in all the countries involved. China's system wasn't built in a day, give it time the EU is doing a fine job of heading that way.

2019-09-26 10:17:41 UTC

Which if that is the tragectory, would explain why authoritarian minded individuals support the overturning of A50 or the possible failure of the UK to leave the EU.

2019-09-26 10:20:54 UTC

At this point all we can do is trust that the prime minister will do what he can to support the will of the people. It's just a sad state of democracy that it has come to this. Even in my local electorate we voted overwhelmingly to leave the EU yet the MP here is a remainer and pushes that in parliament.

2019-09-26 10:26:30 UTC

I think BoJo will go down in history as a PM who fought like hell for 17.4 million people

2019-09-26 10:50:27 UTC

@2K He said we should honour her death by getting Brexit done whats "humbug" is that they are appealling to emotion using someones death as a platform and saying that words lead to that.

2019-09-26 10:50:51 UTC
