How are my fellow Greeks
*Hylia is typing...*
congratulations, you're a centrist
i guess it's most dependent on how you view the right/left divide
i believe transgender people, gay people and women should 100% have the same rights but i still see myself as very right wing
This is when you need some economic conversations
The way i see it, i believe in competition and hierarchy, and people who don't want these people to have equal rights are scared at the fact they'll have new competition
its a sign of not just unfairness but weakness in my eyes
power will always consolidate its called the iron law of oligarchy
Yes i understand
power is an interesting topic
many people i know want a king or dictator because they believe it will result in less government power
How do you feel about economic issues like trade unions, tariffs taxes ext?
@jacovich stabs power is the power to act, or to me, its the power to enforce ones will upon the world
the will to power
economics can be confusing
e.g
you see yourself as left wing
so you're prone to left wing econ arguments
even tho they are very different
your subconscious bias exists
so alot of left wing people follow people like bernie without understanding things like minimum wage increases, increased taxes trade union power ext
"the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way."
thats from google
when it comes to money in politics i'm torn because they help the right wing but i can see how its morally wrong to centrist people
Big debate over "if money is speech"
not a topic i'm deep into
Yep
How do we get into the main server?
My PP conquered Greece so might be hard for me
yes
great
I'm not a fan of democracy so when it comes to talking about public opinion im not too bothered
however i do not know a good alternative
ha
yes
Churchill has some bomb quotes
Yeah but over time democracies go further left wing
That video sums up well why i don't like democracy
who determines metric
merit
big brained boi
pathos becomes superior to logos
people care little for real policies
only whether boris cheated on his wife
The main problem is this
we live in an age where it is incredibly easy to access information, but because of our shortened attentionn spans we have a society of Dunning Kruger's who think they are educated on everything when in reality very few have the fortitude to read actual books
people see articles and think they know everything
people know more and less at the same tm
ime
takes real intelligence to accept how little you know
Ha, i love nietzsche
fucking hilarious
you are no.1 then
joking
oh man that book
i've read that and the phenomenology of spirit
Hegel also writes like a retard
All about obi
I am but a mirror, who's only purpose is to show you what your own eyes can't see
TIME FOR A CRUSADE
ya boi has the skill of king Baldwin
greeting fellow Greeks
Hey guys, Mises was pretty based...give him a shot
We're saved bois
Lachmann was great get all your economically illiterate friends to read him instead
Tbh it is over-used
I did infact
Find that a funny joke given the context
I couldn't care less about Mises personal or work life I only care about his ideas
Although I'm fairly sure you didn't give all the context
Aha Austrians of the world unite โ
@Punished Elรญas "MuH UsUrY"
To be clear, I'm not saying the market is the most important thing and I have some hard questions to face as a libertarian on many issues, but by understanding the economy you are not changing your political and philosophic outlook on life. It simply adds to your understanding of the world.
You can say from an economic perspective one thing and a political one anohter
e.g immigration
But on the issue of loans I honestly feel as if it isn't immoral via the concept of time preference
I got the reference
read his works economic science and the Austrian method and Democracy the god that failed.
Wouldn't think so just said it like that because it was quick
edited it
He is great in parts
Can get abit spicy of course
Yes You can understand economics and not be materialistic
e.g you can understand that tariffs are an overall bad thing on your economy and still want them to "conserve communities" or whatever reason, but as long as you understand the long run consequences
but then it becomes a value judgment
@Mr. Nessel What are you even going on about
> "Somehow Portugal can just scale up the output of vineyards because they had timesavings. You just throw more labour at it and the Vineyards magically produce more"
You talk about free trade and don't even bring up the concept of opportunity cost?
Wow
You're a meme
An actual right wing communist meme
All the law of comparative advantage states is that countries will increase net supply of goods by producing goods at the lowest relative opportunity cost
I must be missing something?
Are you just saying labour time is to limited?
