Yayy
This server needs a lewd emoji
Yes.. like that
Nvm
Yeah, but not Bloomberg money
7.62x39 is just Communist 300BLK.
Also CETME's are made with stamped receivers.
I'm not going to get that pedantic.
The CETME/G3 was made with a stamped sheet steel receiver
Also here's what it'll take to make it accurate @Jym

@Jym PICS or it didn't happen
I want to see a CNC'd CETME receiver.
Because this is what the stamped/welded receiver is supposed to look like.
The G3/CETME are the same rifle.
H&K just had to rehire the people who made the CETME after Belgium told them no on buying FAL's
No.. Aside from the Bolt/Trunion the parts are interchangeable.
Spain went with a simpler rear sight though.
But the point that I've been trying to make is that it's a stamped piece of sheet steel, and not a milled block.
No.
That would have to be a very powerful laser.
how deep of a cut do you think you can make with a laser?
Also would that cut be easier to do with a bit?
An AR is easy to make since it's just a piece of aluminum, and doesn't have to deal with high pressures or excessive forces. (All of that is in the chamber/BCG)
You can get an 80% that just requires drilling the trigger control group, and complete that with a drill press/Jig.
The G3/CETME is different since the 80% equivalent is still a flat-ish metal sheet that needs to be folded like a taco, and welded.
The folding part requires a jig, and the HKparts Jig will fuck up the cocking tube because it's speced for MP5's as well.
@Jym There's a decent primer on making these kind of stamped rifles from inrangetv that they couldn't put on youtube for stupid guidelines reasons.
But they exist on full30 if you can find them.
I lost some of the links though
@Jym I get that a CnC machine can work to those tolerances technically.
They did that kind of fine tuned machine work even back to the MP18.
It's just extremely expensive to do on a thing that can be made with stamped parts. Which is what everyone found out in the 1930-40's.
So... Basically this?

@SneekiBreeki it's called customer interaction, and it separates THOTS from the professionals
How did Bloomberg not get on that?
I thought he bought a good chunk if it.
