Fuck working with a Mossin
I hate those bolts that stick out at a straight line
On bolt action rifles
You can absolutely take an AKM to a gunsmith for a tighter chamber on an upper-receiver. That being said, be prepared for the higher cost of 7.62 rounds coupled by a considerable recoil
The CETME/G3 was made with a stamped sheet steel receiver
Now I love me some stamped steel guns
MP-40’s, G3’s etc
Uzi’s
Galil’s
Also here's what it'll take to make it accurate @Jym

STG-44’s
I also like soviet equipment from the 1980’s
The rustic look is just prefect
Yeah that's what made the CETME a pain. We got the software for the pattern and made new ones in the CNC and it's beautiful at that point. Sure it's not a PSG but it's a hell of a nice rifle for the price. @UrstMcRedHead
Though soviet cars look horrible.
Also handguns
Makorav’s, browning hi powers, 1911’s
CZ’s
Czec pistols are nice though...
I want to see a CNC'd CETME receiver.
Some of the older brownings look nice too like the 1922 model
@UrstMcRedHead
Dude they sell them on GunBroker. It just costs half as much if you mill them yourself.....
Because this is what the stamped/welded receiver is supposed to look like.
Mmmmm
Beautiful
G3 part?
Looks like it
Also, I learnt the other day that apparently Iran used to use G3’s
The G3/CETME are the same rifle.
H&K just had to rehire the people who made the CETME after Belgium told them no on buying FAL's
Kinda. Most of the HK team moved to Spain to make Century after the war so they're basically the G3 prototype.
Oh ok
No.. Aside from the Bolt/Trunion the parts are interchangeable.
Spain went with a simpler rear sight though.
But the point that I've been trying to make is that it's a stamped piece of sheet steel, and not a milled block.
Shit now this kinda makes me wonder. We bought a laser cutter recently would it be possible to cut a receiver from a flat slug of steel? Need to ask the guys....
No.
