Hey, I used to be apart of a debate server that recently got banned and there were a couple of socialist on there that changed my perspective a little and now I'm just here because I found them interesting. (This is coming from a non-ironic libertarian)
Well, I'm a bit unconventional. I'm the nationalist type of libertarian, so I'm more likely to become a fascist than a anarchist. But that's a long road from where I currently am
Well, I'm more a libertarian because I believe it's the more pragmatic approach. I don't care about maintaining anyone's liberty if it means that it would make society more effective. For example, I could see myself being a supporter of criminals who've committed certain crimes being worked to death in camps instead of being put on the death penalty.
Just a note, I don't currently support putting criminals in interment camps, I just could see myself being convinced to that
Yeah, but it would have to be undeniable that they committed the crime. I would rather have 20 guilty men go free than 1 innocent man work a camp to death
There should be degrees of the camps. Like I have no mercy for child rapist, terrorist, and psychotic serial killers. But
Honestly, this doesn't sound like a bad idea
Now that I think about it
There should be "normal" camps and "death" camps. And i'd also support lengthy psychological help using tax payers money (because I'm not libertarian on everything)
autoregulated?
So there are some ground rules, but everything else is run by the prisoners?
Like the obvious, no killing, stealing, etc..
Lol, alright
Oh, well I've never undertsood anarchism. From my understanding we are just supposed to rely on our neighbors to not do certain things like steal or what not, and if they do any unacceptable things than the group is going to punish that individual for doing something wrong.
But I don't like that idea as it means that if I'm in the wrong group, then there may be a criminal syndicate that extorts me and my neighbors for supplies/money/etc..
Hm, I honestly believe we as a society are too pussy sometimes.
I don't like how "muh morals" will stop us from doing certain "inhumane" experiments that will benefit the society as a whole
NSFW
Imagine thinking the soviet union was actually democratic
Yeah, and North Korea is democratic because they have the word "democratic" in their name
I mean, North Korea has fair democratic elections all the time
So do you actually believe North Korea is democratic? I don't get your point
R you serious?
LOL
North Korea
Democratic
North Korea is the bastion of democracy we need to follow their footsteps
LIbErTaRiAn
k
I never even made any arguments yet
lol
I never even brought up capitalism dude
What
Purging is not confined to that one definition
Do you actually think North Korea is democratic? Like, you honestly believe the government doesn't "influence" the voters?
It's okay I'll watch it for you
Omg, he just said that "the great purge" is entirely based on rumors
kek
imagine talking to someone based on a political identity
Tfw when you realize most communist/socialist are actual cucks. Not even venting, seriously I haven't seen a fit communist/socialist in years
The even the alt-right and identitarians at least look capable of shooting guns
God, I don't care if someone is a communist or not, but seriously. I have yet to see a strong komrade
`Tfw you talk to people that literally want kill you because of your identity`
This guy is literally doing nothing but citing speeches and quotes.
That's literally all of his evidence, I can give you a million of quotes of people literally saying the exacty opposite of what these guys are saying. This guy is grasping as starws
straws*
Is this the entire video?
Is he going to do anything else?
Okay, wait let me make sure of this first
Is he denying that there were massacres and "death purging" against anti-revolutionaries?
I can't tell
I mean, it's not like documents were ever falsified ever in the entire of history, ever. Especially not in totalitarian dictatorships, nope. Never has ever happened
>Stalin was not a dictator
K
Stalin was also democractically elected
He allowed every to have free speech
and he encouraged people with different opinions to voice their concerns
And every time he resigned he gave 50% of his personal income to poor people
And then he felt bad because he was so good of a person that he just couldn't leave his government
It doesn't how much you make, Stalin held all the power
The guy in the video is saying that "A lot was happening in the 30's which took up a lot of his time ". So that he didn't have the time to order the purges

What about Trotsky?
Do I have it backwards or did he collaborate with them after he was exiled?
No seriously, I don't know that one
I asked a simple question
Yes, but Stalin took it instead. I believe it was in his will that Stalin should not take power
This is the author's homepage
Also, I don't care whether or not trotsky collaborated with Japan and Germany after he was exiled
Did he do those things *before* he was exiled?
Is that in the PDF you just sent?
You mind snipping it?
That's a false comparison. He collaborated *because* he was exiled.
A more fair comparison would be like saying "I started the holocaust *because* I believe the jews were bad" and then we could have a debate on whether or not jews are actually bad
And also literally every fucking serious historian
Did.... did I say it was?
In what part of my sentence did I even imply it?
It doesn't matter if PragerU agrees with facts. It doesn't matter if an idiot says the sky is blue. If credible people recognize that the sky is blue, then the sky is blue
Because he did
So?
My point is, they were all just figureheads. Whatever Stalin wanted literally happened. My position is backed by 99% of historians
The fact that you think Kim Jung Un was democratically elected with 99.9 percent of the vote shows me how much you know about how governments work
It doesn't matter
They were figureheads
Figureheads, just like how Caesar was technically only a Consul and technically had limited powers
There was still a Senate, and sometimes the Senate would veto the Emperor's bill in the Roman Empire, but that doesn't mean they weren't a dictatorship
And do you honestly believe someone would do something against the wishes of stalin?
Name a time a major policy was implemented that Stalin didn't want implemented
Just, like one policy
Was it major? And if so, is that the only one?
He's gonna post, I think he is just giving some context first
*click* noice
Are you saying that all lib nations wouldn't allow fascist/commies to hold positions of power? I forgot what the argument was about
I hope that there is a surge of left-wing identarian politics in the U.S so that more white conservatives will become more identarian
Personally, I don't really care about identity politics. I just think it'll make the right more effective.
But, honestly there is a chance for it
Not saying it's a big one
>Big brain centrist?
There is a chance if we are flooded by democrats
Is he on mobile?
@Donitz And the more we have of non-whites voting democrats the more white conservatives will start to realize that they can't play neutral anymore
Also, yeah. It's the same goal. But it's all about how we are going to get there
"To get to mars. Should we spend $100 mill on navigation or $100 mill on security in case we meet aliens" and then there is contention on that
lol
Well, that's only if you vote republican or democrat
that's not really right-wing left-wing
Stop reminding me
Ugh
