damn I wish I could make stuff just like this
this is some solid ass inspiration
got that downtempo lo-fi og hip-hop feel
and that album cover is ๐ฏ
song is Thriftworks - Slump Nuggies
All this talent is making me feel inadequate. Why does this happen every time I finish a new song? ]:
I'm all proud of my shit and then I have to be reminded how amateur my stuff is.
but hey, funny enough I put a sample on my song talking about this very thing...
wtf
check out my jam yall https://soundcloud.com/tight-fisted/brooklyn-pearls
How dare you post him here
what
This is the only leader of china
Remove commie
Nationalist stronk
This guy blows my mind, im not a huge music person but very interesting
oh that's the guy who did a 30+ minute video about *just the first song* on Trout Mask Replica
try not to headbang, expert mode
@radeon have you ever heard the band Four Question Marks?
no
there are lots of bands that get called Meshuggah ripoffs
as I'm sure you know
but boy do they deserve it
i dont listen to much extreme metal so i wouldnt know
even the vocals
sounds like something Meshuggah would have released in the early '00s
except without the jazzy lead guitars
Dick ripper

fucking hats
I didn't see
Listening now
Faggot
5am so I can't really listen to it too loudly, I'll give it a bash.. um
after I go to bed?
It's pretty chill
yee
Not very loud
Good beat
yeah there is a loud part tho
The melody is eerie too
Chorus bit is nice
It's more sample-heavy than any of my previous stuff.
I used a fake piano on top of the piano that was already in the track to bring it out which worked pretty well.
Did you know that Brooklyn pearls are the pieces of corn you find in homeless people's shit?

strings remind me of Blue Flowers
I realized the title sounds like a baseball team and I'm not sure if I'm okay with it, especially considering the kid in the pic is wearing a baseball outfit.
Oh well, I guess I'll just let people wonder.
what's blue flowers?
*rummage*
pretty interesting
Also reminds me of a lot of that.. hmm. Not 'mid-west', but 'mid-east' isn't exactly something you hear. A lot of the stuff I've heard from areas like Philly and Minnesota, even Georgia. But not places like NY. I guess that's sort of a C-shape of states. "West-C"
Stuff like Psyche Origami and Odin Smith
*n o d a m m i t*
*finds more low-key pseudo-melancholy hip hop*
that's pretty chill. Definitely in the area of stuff I'm takin inspiration from.
Nearly impossible to find any of Odin Smith's stuff anymore it seems, but
https://odinsmith.bandcamp.com/album/inside-my-studio
6, 9, 10, 13, 15 & 16 are particularly fun
Also, Producer's Prayer is one of my fav instrumentals *of all tiiiiiiime*
..which is why the link appears to be broken, of course
ffs.
*rummage*
yeah man this is really good, very hollow sounding but in a good way
or maybe that's just the track you sent me
this is one of my favorites right here, at least lately it has been
especially nice on good speakers, so you can hear all of that upright bass sample
boost the bass and the treble too so you can hear that nice background noise
actually that's right it's late where you are
well when you get the chance
and that clicking sound, whatever that is, sound suuuuper nice. Lol sounds weird I know but it really gets me goin.
here's another https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQgvWjcygYo
as you'll be able to tell, I really like stuff with a super bright treble range
That's one of the things I like about fly-lo too, a lot of his tracks have really bright high ends
We need more good music in here
Not just trash and earrape
get off my dick
No
Succ mine

Were they really tho?
Anyone else think Sabotage isn't that good of an album? It's not bad, but it's definitley not good. It sounds like Sabbath was just phoning it in. The first section of Megalomania takes it tune directly from parts of Snowblind. It's my least favorite Black Sabbath album, that I've heard. I haven't listened to all of them yet, though, so this could change. Hole in the Sky, Symptom of the Universe, are just forgetable filler songs. Don't Start is pretty good for a 1 minute accoustic solo. Megalomania is boring, too long, and as I mentioned, takes it's begining tune from Snowblind. The Thrill of it All is pretty forgetable, as well. Supertzar's okay. I like the choir in the background. Gives the song a cool ominous feel to it. Am I Going Insane just feels like a radio-friendly versian of Paranoid. Like, it's the same subject matter, but done with synths and with redone lyrics to make it more upbeat. It's not like they even hide it, either. The alternate title of the song is just Radio, because it was meant to be played on the radio. The Writ starts out pretty good. I like the bassline and Ozzy seems like he's actually trying, unlike the rest of the album. However, at around 5:30, it switches to a new tune and it turns to shit. If they kept this a 5 minute song instead of an 8 minute medly, this would've been much better, and a good way to end the album, but they just had to tac on that second part. One major problem with the whole album is they rely too much on medlies. If the song isn't a medly, it's either filler or just incredibly short and with no vocals. This would be fine if the medlies were good, but they're not. They had too many ideas for songs, so they stitched them together so they could fit the album, instead of just picking the good ones. Another problem was Ozzy's lack of trying. He clearly didn't want to be there recording the album and it shows.
dat meme
just found me a pretty decent obscure skatepunk album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVl2kCgCQp0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXvxR4k64yA Is this real? I've never really listened to scratching before but this is pretty interesting in a weird out of my comfort zone kind of way.
"megatitties? oh, megatitles"
Part of me thinks "hey, this is really cool" and another part of me thinks "remember when a turntable was what people bought if they couldn't afford a 'real' instrument"
That must be several $K sitting there
