2018-08-01 22:39:52 UTC

woman pull all the woman cards after she was trown out of the army for failing the security clearances from beeing a child of russian imigrants
https://translate.google.no/translate?sl=no&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=no&ie=UTF-8&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nrk.no%2Ftelemark%2Fdaria-_20_-ble-kastet-ut-av-militaeret-1.14139793&edit-text=&act=url

2018-08-01 22:41:29 UTC

That's dumb. I've worked with Russian immigrants several times in the US military. One of my classmates was born in Siberia lol

2018-08-01 22:43:24 UTC

if some of you parants are of certain nationalities you fail the security clearens automatically. and they are anal on it. as even a low rank soldier can be set to handle top security information and gear.

2018-08-01 22:44:07 UTC

the stupid part is that the first thing she did do was to pull the army is sexist and rasist card

2018-08-02 02:07:24 UTC

It depends on the job

2018-08-02 02:07:54 UTC

Mine most got away with a confidential clearance. Until you hit a higher rank.

2018-08-02 02:08:12 UTC

>Russian
>Racist?

2018-08-02 02:09:23 UTC

This might be why you dont get entry in the US forces for jobs with security clearance until after you cleared

2018-08-02 02:10:43 UTC

Yeah, a security clearance is part of the enlistment process. I had mine before I even left for Basic Training

2018-08-02 03:09:36 UTC

Same

2018-08-02 03:10:36 UTC

But even then there are some jobs that you can do with just confidential and not secret. Hell during the surge there were some allowed with no security clearance.

2018-08-02 03:10:47 UTC

As long as it was something like cook

2018-08-02 03:11:20 UTC

Lol I've met some cooks with weird jobs

2018-08-02 03:11:26 UTC

Yea

2018-08-02 03:11:36 UTC

Because its a *dying* mos

2018-08-02 03:11:45 UTC

Well yeah, it's useless

2018-08-02 03:12:00 UTC

Out 2 cooks were part of the security detail for the batt commander

2018-08-02 03:12:15 UTC

If you need something cooked, you can get contractors for cheaper. If you can't cook, you're using MREs anyways

2018-08-02 03:12:18 UTC

Eh i am of the mind of cutting a lot of contractors

2018-08-02 03:12:33 UTC

They arnt really cheaper per say.

2018-08-02 03:13:36 UTC

Contractors tend to be expensive. The mechanics made bank. And still got everything the soldiers had.

2018-08-02 03:14:40 UTC

And the contractors in us or non combat zones get paid quite well. When KP duty for soldiers we already have would be far cheaper for washing dishes or kitchen labor.

2018-08-02 03:14:57 UTC

Hmm... perhaps

2018-08-02 03:15:12 UTC

Not to mention it could also be used disciplinarily

2018-08-02 03:15:44 UTC

True, I forgot about things like that. Doesn't work for all services though

2018-08-02 03:15:53 UTC

You would be surprised how many garrison troops sit around, and have little to do. Especially combat arms.

2018-08-02 03:17:31 UTC

The only contractors we cant cut are mechanics for special vehicles cause the contract for the vehicles.

2018-08-02 03:17:53 UTC

But security, kp, ect.

2018-08-02 03:18:03 UTC

Yeah, see, the AF has airmen whose job is to hand out soccer balls 8hrs a day

2018-08-02 03:18:24 UTC

Yea army has it too
Its a duty rotation

2018-08-02 03:18:34 UTC

This is an AFSC lol

2018-08-02 03:18:34 UTC

All the units rotate at the base

2018-08-02 03:18:55 UTC

Same with QRF

2018-08-02 03:19:34 UTC

Usually brojen troops do the gym stuff

2018-08-02 03:19:51 UTC

broken*

2018-08-02 03:20:13 UTC

lol I've noticed it's all the low IQ ones

2018-08-02 03:20:26 UTC

but i mean do that or pay some contractor 15 per hour give or take

2018-08-02 03:21:27 UTC

Or have National guard do all that..... <:think_woke:378717098681171988>

2018-08-02 03:21:45 UTC

National Guard is a state force not national

2018-08-02 03:22:05 UTC

Reserves, w/e. I was active I get them confused all the time lol

2018-08-02 03:22:09 UTC

If the feds want to activate a NG they have to request the state

2018-08-02 03:22:54 UTC

Yea. Army reserves are seperate from active. They operate a lot like NG but fed level and deploy before NG rotations

2018-08-02 03:23:21 UTC

So 1 weekend a month 2 weeks a year give or take

2018-08-02 03:27:43 UTC

Hell, if you want to cut back overlap, I've got a crazy restructuring plan:

Eliminate all the services, and separate the different major job categories into 'commands' that distribute them where necessary.

Why does every service need their own medics, engineers, mechanics, pilots, etc? Just throw them all in unified MOSs, and send them where they need to go.

2018-08-02 03:31:37 UTC

Every service has their own because aside from pilots every unit has them integrated which makes it easier for funding, and personell counts as well as on deployments and such. It would also cause some issues with command structure.

The Marines dont have medics for instance. They take them from the Navy, but they dont fully fall under marine chain of command.

2018-08-02 03:32:03 UTC

Right, but I'm not talking about the exceptions like that

2018-08-02 03:32:15 UTC

However within say the army their are *detachments* of certain mos that get attached to units as needed. Like Combat Engineers

2018-08-02 03:32:47 UTC

But those detachments have their integrated medics and mechanics

2018-08-02 03:33:15 UTC

Yeah, I was an AF engineer, but why do we need Red Horse, Combat Engineers, and SeaBees? We even go to the same damn schools lol

2018-08-02 03:33:36 UTC

Seems like excess overhead

2018-08-02 03:34:19 UTC

Because combat doesnt do what seabees do.

Like in the army Combat engineers arnt trained with horizontal and verticle engineers [our seabees]

2018-08-02 03:34:37 UTC

Well, yeah

2018-08-02 03:34:46 UTC

Okay, how about Medics

2018-08-02 03:35:03 UTC

But in all cases all are laborers

2018-08-02 03:35:12 UTC

Like what with medics?

2018-08-02 03:35:49 UTC

Why are they integrated rather then detached?

2018-08-02 03:35:52 UTC

Hell, the AF is more trained than SeaBees these days.

But anyways, why have 3 different versions of the same medical services

2018-08-02 03:36:26 UTC

Same could be said for army horizontal and verticle lol

2018-08-02 03:36:39 UTC

Yes, it's non existent lol

2018-08-02 03:36:51 UTC

Army engineers can build a building from scratch. Seabees seem more maintenance

2018-08-02 03:37:11 UTC

I have literally never met an Army engineer who builds things.

2018-08-02 03:37:32 UTC

Sorry? I have watched them lol

2018-08-02 03:37:57 UTC

We had a company of them and watched them build barracks, offices, ect

2018-08-02 03:38:32 UTC

Lay whole motorpools

2018-08-02 03:38:35 UTC

You sure it wasn't AF guys attached to the Army? Because that's usually what happens. Army engineers are all bulldozers and bomb disposal these days

2018-08-02 03:38:40 UTC

Nope

2018-08-02 03:39:03 UTC

It was our internal horizontal and verticle engineers

2018-08-02 03:39:11 UTC

They get 2 weeks of training, and then are sent to their bases.

2018-08-02 03:39:12 UTC

Bomb disposal is Combat

2018-08-02 03:39:42 UTC

All fall under the corp of engineers but yea they do all of it.
