I don't think Trump has been gaining very much
i used to be more democratic
but i switched
well of course you don't see it
i could
i see it in the small towns and states
I mean, by what metric?
He has, for one minority support is noticeably higher this time around
You see it...
But the polls don't show it
to be honest, both parties are pretty crap
^^^^^^^^^^
theres really no meaning with the both of them
GG @Cobra Commander, you just advanced to level 5!
Polls are flawed, but they can show relationships - like downwards trends
^^^^^^^^
polls are flawed
we all remember the 2016 election
aight if we're done imma nod off
i gotta get up early for work
and its currently 1 for me
ironically DNC special delegates are not democratically elected
Ok, sweet dreams about Trump's orange body glistening in the sun (or whatever it is you folks dream about)
The DNC delegates process is fubar
i actually try to lucid dream
I have tried and failed
most of them are me on vacations in socialists countries
Well, intentionally I have failed...have had some interesting experiences unintentionally
then them failing and me being stuck there
yeah, and because they vote so unison; 2020 election is going to basically be oranges vs bidens
lmao
also who the fuck is andrew yang
Except the dems have a very nasty habit of throwing their votes away too
Such as voting for Yang
or writing in some other junk
i keep seeing him around here and there
ill look into it tomorrow
I'm tired as shit
@Cobra Commander The link you posted about minority voters pulls from a survey that says "Itโs way too soon to say whether this is a temporary blip on the radar or whether Trump is on to something. Weโll be watching."
I actually like Yang and Tulsi
But I suppose that's for most polls
Yeah I know
All if it is too early to tell, that goes without saying
In any case, maybe he's getting more support in certain places - something to watch out for
well i mean your first article stated that it wasn't sure either but you counted it as evidence
why am i hurting myself
i need sleep
Lol
Go to sleep big guy
We can duke it out later
aight man
it was fun ngl
have a good night or moring
morning
You too
Yang has some good stuff @Cobra Commander
good day
On the one hand I think it's kind of a waste of time to have all these candidates. But on the other hand, they bring national attention to various issues
As long as when the time comes to choose between Creepy/Sleepy/Grabby Biden and Crazy Bernie, they don't throw their vote in for someone else (thereby sealing a really unfortunate and unwanted Biden VS Trump battle)
Then again, like 3v6en8 said too, the DNC process is pretty broken anyways
So individual voters don't really mean all that much when it comes to picking a democratic nominee ughhh
Whatโs wrong with the DNC process?
Btw, you canโt say that trumpโs approval rating with minorities is higher this time around than 2016, because he didnโt have an approval rating in 2016
the DNC has a weird voting system; the have delegates representing a state and superdelegates
delegates are suppose to vote with their state while superdelegates can do what ever they want
delegates are elected but superdelegates are not
thats where the sus things happen with party elections
I dont think trump really needs votes from minorities; he lost his mojo with maga so the elections going to be hard
and a lot of people are jumping onto the band wagon on who hates trump the most; thats the new election process
Ok so- firstly most superdelegates are elected
They also are barred from voting on the first ballot, which means theyโre essentially tiebreakers now
Second- the parties are not lower-case-d democratic institutions
The super delegates are the party leaders, they are just deciding who they want to nominate
Only 20 (2.7%) of the superdelegates are not elected
And those are all former elected officials, like Obama, Clinton and Carter are among those 20
is it only 20?
that doesnt seem that much
Yeah, itโs not that much
i guess most super delegates are elected in some way
still, superdelegates fucked bernie 15% of the nomination
@Platinum Spark I didn't mention anything about approval ratings, I said that he's gaining more minority support.
Hopefully that clears up my statement
@Cobra Commander The article you quoted is about approval ratings
The author is suggesting that approval rating and vote total are synonymous- we know that they are not
Ok time to debate up in this bitch
In fact, if they were, trump would be looking at a catastrophic map in 2020, showing him negative in OH, WI, MI, PA, FL, NC, AZ & TX
GG @Platinum Spark, you just advanced to level 12!
IN too
Trump 2020
That's happening
jschlatt2020
You can thank the squad for that
You can ๐
The midwest has constantly been lied to
And it's so cringe to see the candidates pretend to care about them
Ok, so how is he going to make up all the ground heโs lost in PA?
